On the smaller size
Love love love! My kids would spend every waking minute in their sand box if I let them. It’s such a fun toy but I do with it were bigger. It’s perfect for one child but small for two. It’s super functional because of the lid. We can just keep our toys in it and we know they’re safe overnight. It’s pretty durable because my kids have used it for a month now and it still looks brand new.

Sturdy!!
This is the BEST toddler sandbox I’ve purchased. My 3 & 11/2 year old grandbabies love it. Has a removable top to protect from weather, critters & anything else we don’t want in the box. We grandkids love this box. Big enough for both of them to sit inside as well. Highly recommended!!

So cute and so much fun.
I’ve never met a kid who didn’t love this sandbox. It is large enough for several children to play in yet not so big that it takes up a lot of space.

Quality control went out the window!
Bought this sandbox because I remember them from my childhood, and the price was reasonable. However, I was sorely disappointed when I attempted to put it together. The four pieces do not click easily in place like the video suggests. After over an hour of two of us trying to make the last piece fit seamlessly, the Clark Griswold came out of me and I’d had enough! And then there’s the issue of the turtle’s eyes… they don’t even snap into place! The eyes just loosely sit in these holes, and can be pulled out quite easily by a child. Which my toddler did immediately. So back to the Amazon warehouse it went!

It’s… fine. It works.
My MIL’s house has a big sand area where a pool used to be and my son really liked it, so I wanted to get one for home that hopefully was slightly less full of animal feces and rainwater. Hubs didn’t want a big nice one because “we’re not going to live here forever” and “I don’t know how to dispose of sand”—whatever. I don’t ask questions. So I got this one. It was a bit smaller than the ones from our youth and now requires assembly. A lot of people complained about this part but I did not find it difficult, just tedious. It took me maybe 45 minutes, but I was on the phone talking trash with a friend and my 2 yo kept stealing the screwdriver to “help.” That honestly was the worst part of construction: having to chase down and demand the screwdriver back from a recalcitrant youth.I’m not certain how watertight or weatherproof it will be. I might duct tape the lid closed and add some heavy-duty magnets to keep the lid on. I will update if it requires aftermarket modifications. It has zero storage capacity, unless you count popping off the head to keep your keys and cellphone in. I included a pic of my all-but-2-yo for size reference. (He’s 70th percentile for height and 50th for weight.)In the accompanying pictures, there is less than 50lbs of sand in the turtle.UPDATE: yeah… got some rain. 100% not watertight. I will be duct taping the top to see if I can remedy the situation.

Great sand box!
First off directions were very good! Simple to put together but with anything plastic it takes some wiggling to make it all fit. Teather point holds the top great in windy conditions. Sturdy and took 2-50 pound bags of play sand to fill. One issue is that there is a hole in each of the 4 ‘legs’. I found wasps trying to make a nest under them. Simply covered them with duct tape so it’s an easy fix!

Good for the price.
Bought this for my rabbits so they could have some soft dirt to dig in. The size is decent for them, but I’d say it seems pretty small for a kid. Seems pretty sturdy, but it was also kind of a pain to put together. I don’t see why it couldn’t have just come in two pieces considering the box it arrived in was pretty large. Be warned that this does not come with screws and you may need to pop in the hardware store.
