Tastes great.
First impressions were that this is one huge tub of peanut butter! It’s not quite like the picture though, as the tub mine came in is white rather than clear, and after removing the lid it was good to see that it was sealed.Seal removed, the spread had separated and there was a thick layer all around the edges and all the oil had risen to the top, so I just got a big spoon in there and gave it a really good mix up.Once mixed, it’s still quite runny in comparison to my usual brand, but in order to ensure none got wasted I ate all the peanut butter from the spoon I'd used to mix it up and it tasted so good.It really is a nice flavour, all natural with just the right amount of crunch, it tastes great just on toast, but my partner has also use it in one of his protein shakes and he said it was fab. With such a large tub this would be good for making cakes, it should last us a while.

Excellent Unadulterated Peanut Butter; Recommended
In recent years, most of the population have become more particular about what we eat, what additives are put into manufactured food we buy & what effects such additives may have on us, our health & our planet. So, in those years, demand for more pure, less ‘processed’ foods, with less additives, has increased & manufacturers & sellers of food products have responded. Now there are quite a few different branded & supermarket own-label products, including peanut butter, on the shelves, which I am choosing to buy, even if you, perhaps, are not.The last crunchy peanut butter I bought was branded ‘The Foody Market’, made with no added salt, sugar or palm oil (100% nuts); they advised that it was liable to natural (peanut) oil separation, so advised giving it a stir before using it, & the lack of preservatives required that it should be consumed within a month of opening.Similarly, this 1Kg of Nutego 100% Crunchy Peanut Butter under review here is 100% crunchy roasted peanuts, requiring it to be stored after opening in a dry, dark place at between 0 & 6 degrees C, for not more than 60 days, not exceeding expiration date. It had settled in its plastic container between Argentinian production & delivery to me, so was soft, oily on the surface & fairly solid down below; it took quite some effort & time to stir it up to an even consistency. I then opened it, used some & stored the rest in the fridge. In the fridge, at low temperature, it has stayed in a homogeneous state, evenly mixed & of very similar consistency to familiar processed long-established leading brands. I am eating a lot more peanut butter currently than I used to, as I have 1Kg to get through in 2 months; no-one else in the household eats peanut butter. Fortunately, it tastes so pure that I can eat a spoonful of it, instead of having a packet of peanuts, with my Saturday evening rum & coke!Despite having served in the British Forces in the Falklands, I have no problem with this being an Argentinian product. When I was part of the first visit by British Forces to Argentina after the Falklands war, the Argentinian Navy hosted our visit in very friendly fashion & I got on well with the population of Mar del Plata when we ventured ashore.I have just had a quick search for 100% peanuts peanut butters from other sellers & confirmed that this 1Kg tub of Nutego 100% Crunchy Peanut Butter is the lowest price per Kg of any of dozens of brands & sources I have found, in some cases a small fraction of their price. So, I have no hesitation in recommending this peanut butter as the best you can buy.

100% natural
I love the list of ingredients: 100% Argentinian peanuts. It's so nice to see something with no additives and just as it's supposed to be. When opened it needs a good stir to blend the peanut oil back in, but then it becomes a nutty paste. It has a good taste, with no added sugar it's not sweet, but works well for me. This peanut butter has had quite a journey, it's made in Latvia from Argentinian peanuts, then sold in the UK. Definitely well travelled! This is a huge tub and such good value, currently at £5 for 1 Kg. It's great for making satay sauce as well as in sandwiches. It has a good expiry date on the tub and once opened is good for a couple of months in the fridge. Well worth it.

Lovely to cook with - and no nasty ingredients
At £5 (at time of writing) this might seem expensive but there are two main things to think about here.1. This is a LARGE tub!2. There are no dodgy additional ingredients to bulk it out. It's just peanuts.Fantastic!Because it's just nuts, this is not the same as many other peanut butters. It has a different consistency - I'd even call it a touch oily. I can't say what it's like on a sandwich as peanut butter sandwiches really are not my thing but in terms of taste it's sensational and went into the BEST satay sauce I've ever made. I will be buying me more of this!HIGHLY recommended!
