!!! NOT made for Normal FUEL !!!!
The tag on this container and writing on the container says it is not to be used to hold FUEL. That’s right you’re not to suppose to put gasoline in it, but can hold VP's special fuel. Yet that is exactly what the ad says it’s used for. I don’t know If it is a poor quality plastic that is not to be used with gasoline or not. Time will tell.

(Updated) I bought one, then another, now looking for a third!
(Update) I've filled this baby about four times now. My favorite feature, it doesn't leak all over my trunk! I still only have one nozzle, but with a separate fuel cap for each, it makes swapping easy. I'm still a huge fan. I'll be buying a third on my next order.Lesson learned storing fuel, if you buy 87 octane, or any other regular gas at the pump, use 3x the amount of Stabil fuel stabilizer. If you are smarter, you would find the local small airport and buy 112 octane aircraft fuel, and run it instead. It doesn't really add that much to the power out, it has NONE of the additives in automobile fuel and that results in the added benefit of it not separating in your engine, fuel lines, fuel filters, and tank, when the unit is not in use. That it what ends up making your motor not start. The extra cost is not actually that significant, especially when you weigh the benefit of not servicing it as often for inability to start issues. Think lacquer lining your fuel lines and cylinders. Anyway, 5 gallons at $4.25/gallon vs. $3.50/gallon really isn't that much in the big scheme of things.(Original review) It just arrived. I have been concerned about the volume of this thing from the start. I was unable to find anything online that indicates how much capacity this thing holds. I wanted a 5 gallon reserve for my shed. Thankfully it is that size. (It is worth noting, I did not order from an item that displayed Bugzilla's review, nor did I ever find it until now...)The can has an indicator on the side that shows markings for 5 gallons, or 20 liters (Slightly higher than 5) with a little more room above that. I'm guessing the vent on the handle would make going over 20 liters an unpopular practice.Another item of note, the cap is what you thread the nozzle into. You have to buy the nozzle separately, ( VP Racing Fill Hose for Square Jerry Can - --/-- ). I didn't quite absorb that knowledge from what I read online. Looking back, it looks like it would be wise to buy an extra fuel cap, ( VP Racing Replacment Cap for Square Jerry Can - --/-- , nice typo in the listing Amazon!) when you order the nozzle, so you have one without the hose connected for storage/transport. The listing showed it connected to a nozzle, the image is misleading.I bought this item because I'm sick of the normal "Safety" cans the government presides over for consumers. They spill everywhere, and are a joke to manage. I get by just fine with the less popular solutions, however they are very difficult to find anywhere nowadays. I have a simple "non-safety" 1 gallon can for use with my mower This purchase is for having more on hand for emergency generator usage, with mower supply as the secondary function. Some other thoughts, the cap is "HUGE." It is 2.5 inches tall, and 4 inches across. The cap's internal threads are also HUGE! The thin parts of the plastic are about 4-5mm thick. The thicker parts are about 7-8mm, like around around the neck. I get the feeling this thing will last quite a long time, with reasonable treatment. After I get a chance to put some fuel in this thing, I'll update the review with performance info.

Great Can, But if you need it, GET THE SPOUT!
Great product...have and use several, but ad should more CLEARLY state "Spout not included," which was my bad but other folks might be none too happy when it comes without one. Can be a two person job to use when full of 30+lbs of gas if full neck of whatever your filling is in an awkward position. 1st World Problem.

Does Not Come With The Filler Hose
Just comes with the container and the cap. I did not receive the hose with it. Be sure to buy it separately so that you can use it when it arrives.

Worth the extra money
VP cans aren't the cheapest. But I've used the cheaper cans with and been less than happy. Probably could have 2 or 3 VP cans for the money I've spent on other products. Trust me kids, spend a little more now and save the hassle. There is a reason everyone uses VP. Now I get it.

The size and ease of using is perfect. No leaks like the spout on other types
I like it as is. But a built in handle to help with filling a tank would be welcomed

Great Customer Service when you contact VP Racing if you have a gas problem RE 3 Cans purchased leaked gas all over when pouring
6-7-18 - Back to 5 Stars from 1 Star. After my two frustrating attempts filling out a message on the VP Racing's website, I finally called and was able to eventually get to the warranty department. They were outstanding at listening and taking care of the problem with my 3 defective jugs that were leaking gas below the Screw Cap. So great customer service when you get a hold of the right department and just received the new jugs today that they look much better and the caps screw on solid.Great looking Gas Jug, love the shape, until it starts leaking gas all over the place. As long as it sits upright it's the best Gas can I have ever seen but if you need to pour gas into something (like a boat) don't be surprised if it starts leaking gas everywhere. Sounds like the O-ring could be a problem which is the last thing I want to be farting around with fixing every time I want to use it. Also, when screwing the cap in I never really know if it's going on right because it doesn't feel convincing. It's screws on loosely for a while and then all of a sudden tighten quickly, leaving me wondering every time if the seal is tight? Also, I bought 4 of these so it's not a fluke since 3 of the 4 now leak all over the place. Will anyone EVER be able to design a gas can that does not leak???all over the place which unfortunately deafts the
