I bought it to apply lotion to my back. I admit i didnt expect much from it but it did a great job. It applied lotion evenly over my back without dripping anywhere or making a mess. It works like a roll on deodorant but with lots of little balls instead of one big one, you fill the head with lotion and the balls roll it on. The angle of the handle made it easy to reach all of my back. It was easy to clean and very reasonably priced too. Very happy. I cleaned it out after use so i cant comment on its ability to keep the lotion without leaking but it does come with a screw cap for storage between uses.

The applicator's long handle means that all parts of the body especially the back can be reached with ease eliminating the need to get assistance from another person. On the other hand, it does looks a bit fragile, so not sure how long it's going to last, but for the price paid, it's good value for money.

I'd had one of these for around 12 years and it finally broke about a year ago (my own fault) I originally thought that it distributed lotion and sun cream etc unevenly but I had a light bulb moment; once I finished rolling on the product I was using, I put the clear lid back on and used it in exactly the same way to spread and rub in the lotion on my back. It's a fantastic little tool for people who live on their own or are too shy to ask another person to help out. It is very easy to use and the long handle really helps to reach every inch of my back.

I chose this applicator specifically to apply emulsifying ointment, a thick waxy like substance. While the ointment is easy to fill into this applicator, it is not fluid enough to be applied back out through the roller surface. Possibly this product works well with other lotions (I haven't tried others out myself), but I would say it is unsuitable for my specific need.Also the handle has a slippery surface, which I find annoying if your hands are covered in ointment/lotion and slippery themselves.

Makes applying creams/lotions to whole of back much easier. Lightweight and as rolled across skin leaves a thin layer of whatever application using. Good cap for storage. Helps not waste anything.

Did not use this straight away hence I cannot return but what a waste of money I only used it once or at least I tried. Not working and not fit for purpose. So do not waste your money.....
