Good heat output and reasonably portable
The last time we went camping we had a portable butane stove for cooking duties, you never think about it when cooking indoors but it was cold out and it took a long time to heat up, and the super light camping pan didn't retain heat very well either. I saw another camper usinga flat top griddle and they were cooking up a storm (smelled great too) so I was intrigued. The Onlyfire Flat Top Gas Griddle is just what I'm looking for. It is much bigger than my butane stove and much heavier too but that's where the disadvantage ends. It's still reasonably portable for car camping provided you're not transporting it by hand for long distances. It stainless steel construction feels strong but most of the weight is from the cast iron flat top. There's a little assembly required, namely the control knobs, the foldable feet, the grease tray and the gas connector - it has connectors for both 1lb and 20lb tanks. In my case, the screws that connect the front fascia with the main body completely fell off and were rolling inside the griddle, once I found the source of the rattling it was a quick fix but it seemed QA maybe fell asleep there.Since it's cast iron it requires seasoning before use. I found they usually work better with 2-3 layers so that's what I did here. With almost twice the BTU of my butane stove it heats up relatively quickly and once it does it's great at retaining the heat so I can keep sizzling, nice! And because the cook top is cast iron the same care needs to be applied to cast iron cookware, and definitely don't leave it out. Maybe I should have sprung for the version with the lid.

Lets go camping
This burner is awesome. Cook anywhere anytime. Heats up quick and it isn't too heavy to move around in any vehicle. It maybe a bit over priced compared to others. But it's worth it.

Works great!
I added this to my overland trailer's outdoor kitchen setup and it's awesome! I made smash burgers on it the other night and they were like heaven! Can't wait to get out in the wilderness and cook a full breakfast on this baby. I had a smaller single burner that this is replacing and having the dual zones is a game changer on what you can do with a griddle. Its built well and should last a long time. If you intend to leave outdoors in the weather, I recommend getting the one with the lid to keep the griddle from rusting. Mine is stowed inside my trailer so I don't need it.

Sturdy Grill
Throughout the warmer months of the year we go camping on weekends with our friends. Most consumer grade grills don’t hold up well to the abuse. This grill is made to withstand heavy use. My only complaint is I wish I picked up a stainless cover.

Grill Seems Good However...
UPDATE:I have to say that I am very impressed with this company's customer service and their prompt reaching out to me regarding my issues. They worked with me almost immediately and we were able to replace the grill with a brand new one that arrived in perfect condition. I got it set up and everything works just like it should with no issues whatsoever. In this day and age, the quality of a product goes hand in hand with the customer service and this company knocked it out of the park on both accounts. I have no problems with now recommending them or their grill to anyone looking for a nice portable unit made by a company who stands behind their product. We have a Blackstone grill that is about as portable as a tank without tracks so when I saw this, I thought it would be great addition. I will start with the good first. This is a pretty good little portable grill; it seems like it should hold up to average outdoor use as long as you aren't too rough on it. I wouldn't keep it outside at all because it has no top so it will rust up pretty quickly. About the only assembly you need is putting on the legs and the gas connector, then it is ready to go. The gas line they provide is ok, but it seems a little shorter but that's ok because I actually have a longer one that also has an indicator gauge that I plan to use. Now for the negative issues that actually caused me to drop two stars off of my review (the one is serious enough that I almost took another star off as well). The first issue is more of a concern regarding where and how these grills have been stored before shipping. I opened the box and started to unpack and assemble the grill in our garage/shop which is a large three plus stall unit. The reason I mention that is that I started to smell a musty smell, sort of like when you go in an old basement here in Minnesota that has mold and mildew all over. At first, I didn't make any connection to the grill or the box but as I moved around, I noticed that the closer I got to the grill and/or box the more intense the smell got. I finally put my nose right up to the box and just as quickly pulled it away - that was definitely the source of the smell. I then went to the grill which I had sitting on a table in another bay and again put my nose up to it and once again there was definitely a smell of mildew and basement. I was concerned enough that I took a flashlight and tried to look into the interior spaces of the grill just to make sure there was nothing inside that was moldy or even a mouse nest. Thankfully there was nothing and it looked clean but the smell is strong enough that I ended up taking the box out to a shed because it was spreading out throughout the shop. I am not sure where they store these before shipping but it is definitely a space that is wet and has mildew so anyone who is sensitive to those factors (or mold) will want to keep that in mind. The second issue could actually have the potential to be even more dangerous or even catastrophic and that is the spot where you put in the gas connector. This is not a problem by design but a problem with quality control. My grill showed up bent at the spot where the connector is supposed to go in so bad that as you can see from the photos, it wouldn't even connect. I ended up bending the metal so that I could get it to screw in, but I still have several concerns regarding even lighting this unit up. The first is that if it got damaged right there, you can't be certain that it didn't damage the internal pipe that is just sort of suspended there and there is no really good way to see for sure. Secondly, while it seems like the fitting to the connector is secure, again because of the bent metal you really can't make sure that everything is secure until you light it. I ended up giving this grill three stars because if you get a unit that is in good shape it should work as intended but I really wanted to make sure everyone was aware of my issues including the smell.
