Once I found the right drivers on Intel's website, it was easy to get the card working. It works very well in both Windows and Linux. Would definitely recommend.

100% compatible with the Intel part AFAICT. I used this component to build a firewall/router with a PC and OpenWrt. It is forwarding packets at layer 2 at line rate. Make sure you are getting the full gen 3 x 8 bandwidth from the slot you use. My unit has a fan on the heatsink, but it is quiet.

Works as advertised. I can get full 10Gbps with this card. The main reason I got it was because it has the Intel Chipset. Some cheaper non-Intel cards would not work with a version of FreeBSD that I was trying to run.

This NIC uses Intel's venerable X520 chipset, which is neither the most power efficient nor highest performance model out there but it provides solid 10G performance and has the virtue of being supported by nearly every OS out there today. I think it's technically unsupported by Windows 11 but you can get there if you jump through some hoops, and with everything else it just works if you install the right driver. In my case I'm using the NIC with TrueNAS SCALE, which is based on Debian and includes drivers out of the box. All I had to do was install the card in my motherboard (an X570 Taichi, though it should work in any PCIe slot with enough space) and boot it up. Running "lspci" shows the two ports on separate lines as Intel 81599ES (an alias for the X520) and configuration goes as expected. I've been using this card for over a month now and have had no issues at all.

When it comes to Ethernet cards, they sort of either work or they don't and I have had my share of both types. The great thing about this card is that you get two ports instead of the normal single port, and they both can operate at 10GB without interference from each other. They are separately addressable, so you can have each of them on a separate network. In my case, I have two subnets in my home and this allows me to use both of them simultaneously. One has my NAS and high speed backups to several network drives, the other is for normal network use (internet, etc), and I have no problems using them both at the same time. There is very little heat generated. Previously I had two separate 10GB cards and they both got really hot in normal use. I actually had to install a fan inside my PC to blow on them to keep them from making the inside of the case too hot. I was able to completely remove that fan and even when heavily used there is very little heat generated. I have had no problems with drivers or installation and setup, it was almsot completely without incident (except for my own errors). While $200 is a lot for any card, this one seems to be worth that cost. At least it is for me. Works great. Installed no problem. No sketchy drivers. Just worked. Had to modify my PC because I had no more room for this, but some kapton tape and a Dremel later I had my hole cut and this thing poking out of the front; screwed in and recognized by the PC. Connection is easy! Buying here was cheaper than ebay! Checking network settings after a windows update showed it at 10gbe for network speed. Ok. I've bought like 6 of these things. They work amazing. 10gbe home networking for the win!

There are many many ways to dip your toe in to 10gbe networking in your home lab for the fun of doing it. Going with a card like this is one of them. I won't go into the rest of the details but with the cheap switches out there and then running cat6a or 7 cabling, its a cost effective way unless you just want to be fancy and use fiber. either way i'm speaking from a homelab perspective. this device does identify itself as an Intel chip set. There no windows 11 drivers stock so MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR CURRENT NIC ACTIVE to download the latest driver for this card. It runs cool and runs as expected. I will never reach full 10gbs speeds with my setup but i can fully saturate my solid state drives and my Raid 10 NAS with minimal effort. Which was my end goal. Literally the I/O on my storage devices are my bottleneck now. and that makes me happy.

Works well so far. I have one installed in both my server and my Windows workstation, and it’s been running fine, delivering the full 25Gbps. I use a lot of Mikrotik gear, and this card integrates without any issues. It comes with both low-profile and full-size brackets, which is great for fitting into different cases, including 2U servers. I also found that if you only want to use one port, you can get by with 4 PCIe lanes, since each port requires 4 lanes.

It works well, but sometimes "freezes."

Instalado à dois meses. Aquece um bocado. Deveria no meu entender ter refrigeração ativa. Até agora tudo funciona no Windows. Dóis drivers de rede detectados o que no meu caso para máquinas virtuais foi muito útil. Consegui colocar uma porta de entrada de dados e outra de saída.

Die Karte ist kaputt, fake und es ist leider jetzt erst aufgefallen, Rücksendung nach 3 Monaten nicht mehr möglich. Hoffe das der Händler mich kontakiert und ich eine neue bekomme

Niquel la carte tourne très bien sur mon PC Windows 11, reconnue Immédiatement sans installer de pilotes (Plug&Play) . Maintenant j'ai un débit de fou avec ma Freebox Delta . Et la carte est moins chère que les marques concurrentes . Donc que du bonheur !!
