Did not disappoint. I bought the Turner gauche first due to YouTube but I just wasn’t feeling the joy. I bought these and I feel like a kid again. Just fun creating with ease is my impression. The colors are great the brushes work good and I can go into the studio and just have fun. No drama no feeling of having to be a pro just pure entertainment.

Beautiful paints, dry quickly, and I like the color variety. It was very messy to set up, though, and a single upturn of the case (even when closed) causes a lot of lost paint because the lid doesn't sit right over the cups.

I am loving the quality of these paints, they are so thick and vibrant. It makes painting so much fun. All the different colors are amazing and the case seals it up to keep the freshness of the paints longer.

I really love this paint set....I'm new to this painting ordeal and it was nice experimenting with the colors. super surprised at the weight of the paint kit! just a little heavier than your basic watercolor kit from the craftstore!

Love this set of gouache. Especially because it doesn’t smell like chemicals. It’s very good to use thin like watercolor or thick like acrylic. It’s a very satisfying texture to use on paper and other materials. Colors are vibrant and good to layer. Would recommend for anyone who’s starting gouache. Comes with a set of brushes as well which weren’t that great but the paints are a great buy.

Melhor guache semi profissional/ profissional que já pode existir, não tem explicação. E vem super certo chegou antes do prazo. Essa em específico comprei a que já vem com os pincéis. Chega super certinho.

I’m a beginner and although I wanted to try higher quality brands these were so affordable. HIMI is good if this is the only thing you can afford, but the Holbein paints I bought later are absolutely better quality. The advantage with HIMI is you don’t need to learn how to colour mix like you do with a 5 colour starter set. You also don’t have to buy a wet palette and set of brushes on top of that to get started painting. These definitely have a lower cost of entry to learning the medium. My biggest gripe is that if you keep the paints wet they tend to get moldy if they sit too long without being used. However, if you let them dry out, they lose some of the opacity. After I threw out some fuzzy colors I’ve started letting it get semi dry before I close the lid. It is nice that they are not expensive to rebuy, though. Just be aware that several of the colours aren’t lightfast and will fade within months in direct sunlight (other people have posted their tests online already). If you want to do more than sketchbook studies, I’d invest in another brand and learn about what pigments fade and which don’t. PROS: - Very affordable - Cute packaging - Lots of YT tutorials available for painting with them - Easy to get started as a gouache beginner - Good for playing around and experimenting CONS: - No pigment information - The brushes are cheap (strait out of the box, I had to superglue the ferrules back onto the handles on 2/3) - Some colors are not lightfast and will fade - Prone to mold - Not good for learning colour mixing - Different texture from other brands - Binder separates and needs mixing every time they’re used - Some gouache painting techniques don’t work (but are simple to do with pro brands)

Love this! Rich colours and perfect spread. Wish it had a more pure black but eh whatever. Awesome for beginners.
