Perfect for the Big Blue 10”
When my plumber installed the Big Blue water filter, he failed to give me this wrench. I actually didn’t even know that I should have it. I have struggled getting the filter housing on and off. I have suffered with leaks and chipped the housing trying to take it off and instal a new filter.I ordered this wrench and changed the filter in less than five minutes. This tightened the filter housing perfectly. The plastic seems to be of good quality and I had no issues with it at all. I never felt that it could break when I tightened it probably more than I should have. Overall, this is an excellent quality product, well made, easy to use, and fits the Big Blue 10” like a glove.P

Grips good
I use the Pentair spanner wrench to remove the filter housing from my system. The spanner wrench makes the good so much easier and faster. It is sturdy and will last.

Filter removal tool
The tool in itself was great; we just had a difficult time loosening the thing that holds the dirty filter. We had to completely take it apart and bring it from under the house where it was located to loosen it using a hammer.

It's handy you need this wrench to change filters
This wrench is a life saver for your small pool.

Good wrench - Doesn’t work with Express water filter
It’s a good wrench, sturdy, solid and everything. But if you’re looking for the Express water filter wrench for 10” filters or 12” filter canisters this one is not it, it’s too big. also I order the “standard” version.

Helps you do the job
Although it may not be necessary to use this tool, it works well and makes the job easier. To make on and off of the housing easier, I use a this coating of high viscosity silicone grease on the threads and "O" ring that does not have any negative effects on either the plastic or "O" ring. Make sure your lubricant is plastic friendly and non-toxic.

Does not fit 10” big blue housings even though it says it does.
At least 2” too small.

It works but it is flimsy and I am not sure long term that it will hold up

Was expecting something a lot stronger.I am pretty sure it’s going to break because it flexes so much
