I bought this to make guacamole and Mofongo. I've enjoyed it thoroughly so far! The weight is very nice and definitely solid. After conditioning the mortar I gave it a try and it made great Mofongo! My only small gripe is occasionally I get a little grittiness from the stone but it's to be expected I believe. Very large size allows me to make a good amount at a time. Awesome price and great value.

Great bowl. I love grinding my herbs and using them. This makes it so much easier. Made from great material, heavy and strong. Would recommend this one.

Excellent product. This molcajete is easy to cure with rice and garlic and easy to use. Its size is adequate for over six people, depending on how much you like the guacamole. It is good for fixing salsa too. However, if you like things faster, you will do better with an electric food processor, because all good things require patient and time.

It's a stone m&p, it's heavy. It's pretty and with a little work, grinds and smoothes foods. There is a break-in series of grinding rice in it to season and clean it. After that, cleaning was easy. It's big enough to grind a little corn flour, grind my own spices or make guacamole. Versatile. Only gave 4 stars as it arrived with a chip missing and now there are 4 small chips missing. It doesn't affect the product but it's still chipped and I've had it about 2 months of light use.

I would most definitely recommend. I compared many others before purchasing and this is the best one for the price. It’s heavy duty and while many people complained of damage, mine arrived just fine. Comes with felt covers and extras (6) for the legs to prevent scratches.

I like the weight and that it's bigger so I can use it both for mixing my herbs as well as use it for my Guacamole bowl after I'm done mixing it up.

Very sturdy mortar. Not too heavy but none of that cheap light weight feel either. I love it. Only thing i didnt like was that its more like 3cup capacity at most but im still happy with it. Make sure to cure it before its first official use.

The PriorityChef Granite Mortar and Pestle Set is larger than I thought it would be. It is very heavy and has a large capacity. I am thankful for the added felt feet protectors, so it does not scratch my countertop. It is easy to clean and looks great stored on my counter.
