My freezer is in the laundry room where the cats eat and sleep. I also have a preteen that doesn’t always pay attention. My freezer was left open for over 24 hours once and the plug was also knocked out for at least 2 days so needless to say, i was tired of throwing food away. I bought this thermometer specifically so i would get the alert if the freezer got too warm for too long. This works like a charm. I like that you can adjust your alerts settings based on your preference and the alert goes right to your phone. It was easy to set up. I already had the hub for a ton of other Govee items in my home so it was easy to connect and get working instantly. I have had it for about a year without and issues or the battery running low (it will let you know when it’s running low). It’s very reliable and has given me a huge peace of mind. If you need it, you can also look at the history of the temperature which i could see would be helpful for some circumstances. I’d definitely get this same model again if i were to need it. I also like the company. I’ve never been disappointed with my Govee products.

I have been using this product for about two weeks now and it is working perfect. We spend a lot of time out of town and this is a very assuring safety net. We had a problem with our refrigerator once it quit working while we were gone. Now I can check each day to see if the refrigerator is working properly. Would not be without this product.

This unit is well-made and the configuration and linking to my Wi-Fi was quick and easy.

I like the unit, but I get a bunch of false alarms. I have the alert set to +5 degrees, I go check the door to make sure it is sealed, which it is and the freezer is -2. No idea why it alerts. I do love that I can the temp (when it is accurate) from my phone.

Works very well. We were on vacation away from home when we lost power for several hours. I don't think this unit can track temp history when power is off but as soon as power came on I could see that the temp has risen but not do a level that would cause harm to the food inside the freezer.

Bought this for the freezer in my garage. It works great with the Govee App (Graphs and all) and works fine with both Alexa and Google Home apps giving just the current temp.

Have used the thermometer as directed for over 3 weeks. The temperature readings on the display are all over the place. -22 degrees to 1 degree all while the freezer has not been opened and is constantly powered. The app history is more reasonable (-8 degrees to 0.4 degrees) but even that is not within the mechanical thermometer's readings which register -2, -1. This is a waste of money. Don't see how some folks say it's fine unless they got lucky with their unit. Will try to return since within the return window but I no longer have the box it came in. Not sure other such wireless thermometers are any better after reading the reviews. It is a good thing to have an alarm when the temperature inside the freezer goes higher than a set level but finding such a device is a challenge. Wish the freezer had a built-in alarm. **** UPDATE **** Amazon, as always was true to their word to allow return of the defective product within the return period. More importantly, I failed to originally post the amount of ice build up around the freezer's lip where the "flat" cable passed under the rubber seal. Obviously air was flowing between the inside and outside of the freezer which caused ice to build up. It's amazing how much ice formed on the lip within 3 weeks. About 1/8" and likely to grow if given time. This is not a good thing to happen on a freezer which requires the cold air to stay away from outside air contact. I purchased a different probe via Amazon which does not require a cable to an outside box. The YoLink Smart Wireless Thermometer. The probe stays within the freezer without the need for an outside wire/cable. All truly wireless. I already have the YoLink hub for the water sensors thus adding this thermometer was easy and fit with the monitoring system. I was not aware YoLink made a freezer/refrigerator sensor. More importantly, the new probe works and for a fraction of this product's price.

Connected to the hub and the app. Have used one for year on an old chest freezer. Gives peace of mind to keep alerted when our of town.

This is a very well made product and is easy to set up with the app. I am so pleased with this item that I have referred it to friends. I am using it to monitor the temperature in our 35 year old chest freezer and another sensor to monitor the 30 year old refrigerator in our garage. These sensors allow us to have the confidence that we need when away for periods of time.
