Stopped working after just one day FIXED
Stopped working after one day. Plugged in a brand new battery, and still did not work. No instructions on pairing or how to fix the problem, so investing in an actual pen might be more worth the hassle of not having a working pen when it is needed.EDIT: Contacted me about a replacement pen and received a new pen that works perfect. The original pen came in a plain, white box packaging with absolutely no writing or indication how to use. The new pen came with instructions all over, and included a battery. Connected immediately and no more issues.

Replace works pefectly
First one failed in less than a week. Without asking, seller sent me a new pen. Working perfectly so far. Still getting used to the click for erase but it does work.

Not a Surface Pen, as the title suggests... but not a bad stylus
This stylus arrived with 2 replacement tips, which I am happy for based on the comments. The pen works as advertised, and was immediately recognized by my Surface Pro 6. Placing the battery into the pen was no issue. Tested it with a number of apps - both Win10 organic and MS Store apps - and works pretty well. And contrary to some comments, the "pen" does have a magnet that allows it to stay connected (somewhat weakly) to the left side of the SP6 when in landscape orientation. I fully expect this pen to crash in a year or so, even though I will use it sparingly over that time... but it was only $35, so I expect that.

Good for what it is, not for what it should be.
This item is advertised as a Surface Pen, but that is not what is. What it is, is a cheap replacement. There is not magnet to hold it to the tablet, no eraser or shortcut button on the top end of the pen and no rubber tip to make it feel like an actual pen.Instead you just get an older stylus. It has a button near the tip to handle selection and erasing but it is clunky and in the way. I also didn't realize how much I would miss the magnet. Even when I place the pen in the leather holder attached to my cover it just falls out.The tip of the pen is also a hard piece of plastic. The nicest thing about the Surface was that it felt like you were using an actual pen. This tip goes back to the feeling of the original passive stylus which is a huge step back. The pen also isn't compatible with any of the Surface tips you may purchased for the original stylus. If you're looking for a true Surface Stylus this isn't it.

somehow this silly $40 off-brand pen works better than the pen that is supposed to be paired ...
somehow this silly $40 off-brand pen works better than the pen that is supposed to be paired with a 2017 surface pro. and at less than half the cost. I don't come to this judgement lightly, but there is a cursor jumping issue with the standard pen (it leaps towards your wrist randomly unless you wear a glove and isn't very precise with lots of wobbles) This pen however has none of the issues of the N-Trig pen. I can't compare it to the bamboo since I've not used it, but I can compare it to the pen I paid more than $100 for and it is no contest for me.. this is my new brand. whatever this brand is :Dt

Works
Good value for the money. Works well with my Surface. Doesn’t clamp onto computer though.

Poor quality
Tip came loose after a month of use and then it only worked once in a while. Should have just ordered the Microsoft brand pen. Also if you have a Microsoft pen that stops working they will replace it for free, wish I would have known that before I bought this one. Just junk don't waste your money or time ordering only having to return it. Sucks that it cant be returned!!

the battery holder screws in (but after a while the screw doesn't hold)
The pen is very nice at touch and works fine on the PC. It is a bit heavy, and has these AAAA (yeah... that's 4 A's, not an error) batteries which are a bit awkward to find. The main issue I had is related to the battery holder, that is in metal as well and consumes itself while in use: I was always finding my hands with some aluminium dust from the screw, until there was not any more aluminium on the thread to hold the cap in place, and the battery popped out, just a year after the purchase.

Works but doesn't attach properly on the side
Stylus is work fine with Surface pro but it does not attach on the side securely, its starts to slid down within a few seconds.

Ok, not that great.
Ok, but not a Microsoft surface pen, this is for kids not adults, better in the market.
