Ambre Solaire After Sun Cooling Face Sheet Mask 32g

Me and partner took these on holiday for a mid-week relief from the sun. It was very refreshing and left our faces with a smooth, moisturised glow for days. We were so impressed we ordered two more to use as soon as we got home.We found that if you cut open the packet there is plenty of excess to rub into the neck, shoulders and/or arms too!

I used this one evening whilst I was on holiday recently. I was annoyed with myself as my nose had burned and was glowing red! I always ensure to use good SPF on my face, but was let down by the cream I had used.To help re-hydrate my skin I used this mask. Very similar to other masks like this which I have used a few times. I'm not so keen on these single use products, it seems like a lot more waste! I do prefer masks from bottles that have multiple applications.The mask did hydrate my skin quite well, it felt very very tingly which may be because my skin had been in the sun all day. It didn't seem too different from the moisturising masks I've tried that aren't specifically 'after sun' masks, so probably does just as good a job. Sadly didn't help my glowing nose, but I wasn't expecting it too.

This is a square plastic sachet which, when ripped open, reveals a wet and flexible white paper sheet. Placed onto a just-washed face, it stays on for 15 minutes or so, before being peeled away. Usage is easy enough, though we found getting the eye and nose holes in the right place was a bit hit and miss, and if you miss then you get aftersun right in your eye. Not good. A mirror is a good idea, or better still have a friend apply the paper mask. Once in place, it smooths out better than you'd think when looking at it. It does fit close to the contours of the face, which you need if the aftersun is going to have any effect.The result is great! Smooth skin, much calmed after a day in hot sunshine. We tested this after a weekend tip to very sunny Portugal, in which we did rather overdo the sunbathing. It is much more effective than traditional aftersun, the intense 15 minutes of treatment making it an over-and-done-with process that doesn't involve getting aftersun everywhere. This is definitely a step up from a bottle of aftersun, and feels more like a treat than a treatment.

Ambre Solaire is one of the few sunscreen brands I can use on my face without stinging so I was interested to see how this After Sun Cooling Face Sheet Mask did. I'm still not entirely sold on sheet masks, as I find the sensation a bit weird, but they are definitely less messy than traditional masks!This was nice and soothing after a long day outside, and my skin did feel softer. I'm not sure it was any more effective than using my usual moisturiser though.

This mask was a real treat to my skin after I sat out in the sun all day, it was so cooling ans soothing.I don't usually have sensitive skin anyway so it was no surprise that this mask caused no irrationals at all.I placed it on my face, left it on and it felt so cooling and nice.This was a nice little treat to my skin after a long, hot day.The packaging to this item is really nice and it would look great included in a pamper box of items you were to gift to loved one.I really enjoyed using this after sun mask.5 stars and highly recommended.

Never burnt my face but I have been out in the sun when I've had a bit too much and even after a hot sweaty day this is a really nice relaxing face mask. It smells fresh and isn't at all astringent. It's also very well priced (at the time it was just £2.67) so after a day in the sun it won't break the bank. I do recommend storing this in the fridge to get a really good soothing effect.

Ambre Solaire After Sun Cooling Face Sheet is one item I would recommend you have close at hand in either hot weather at home or when holidaying abroad. It felt so cool on my hot sunburned face it really eased my discomfort and as I was able to wear it for 15 minutes it worked providing me with much-needed relief.Though I have only awarded them four stars is mainly because of the price as it would be rather expensive for daily use.A nice product which works.

Wonderfully cooling mask for those odd times when you just overdo our first day out in very sunny weather. Definitely one for emergencies to get you feeling better.
