The light switch works just as advertised. Install was simple and just like any other light switch. If you have never installed one there are a lot of videos online. Connecting to wifi was also pretty easy. The best part is that it works with Alexa and we can now control our lights with the echo.

I am just going to come out and say it. We freakin love these things. over the last 4+ years of owning our home we have swapped out almost every single light switch in our house with these Kasa Switches. Models we have: Kasa Smart Light Switch HS200P3 - Your standard light switch Kasa Smart Dimmer Switch KS220P3 - This is your standard dimmer switch Kasa Smart 3 Way Switch HS210 - 3 way switch We are a Google family with the exception of our 12 year old daughter how has yet to see the light but we are working on it. These switches are all hooked up to Google Home so we can either get off the couch and flick the switch like an animal or we can simply say: Hey Google, Turn off the kitchen lights. we have everything grouped in Google Home by room and function of the switch which make it a breeze for even my kids to use. My wife is British and to be fair she does struggle with it understanding her from time to time but I do not encounter that problem so I am giving these bad boys 5 stars. They are a modern bright white that matches our home, the install was so easy that even a colorblind adult (me) could do it, initial setup is very easy but if you do change your wifi name and network details you will need to reconfigure them which can be a bit of a pain in the buttocks. We have only had to do this once and I do not recommend it. We like these so much we have even purchased them as a house warming gift for my ungrateful brother and he is also now hooked on the smart tech they offer. I recommend these and will certainly be buying more in the future.

We ordered several of these Kasa smart dimmer switches as they are compatible with Alexa. They work flawlessly. Only encountered an issue after we lost power due to a storm. TP Link technical support walked us through the resetting process and we got the switches reconnected. We are very happy with our Kasa smart dimmers switch purchase.

I recently installed a few WeMo switches so I could test them out, but found they weren't well designed and I wasn't particularly happy with them. So I started searching around for a new smart switch (Dimmer), and ran across the Kasa switches. I went ahead and purchased one to test it out. Installation: 5 stars, super easy and much better in my opinion than the WeMo switches. Main wires screw onto to the switch plate, and a couple of wires run off to attach with nuts. WeMo had all wires run off to attach with wire nuts which resulted in large amounts of wire and clutter behind the switches making them much harder to work with. Application: 5 stars, switch was immediately recognized and I had no problems with the application. Unlike the WeMo switches where I had several that had significant problems connecting, and they constantly disconnect. The Kasa switch has had a couple of times where the physical switch didn't work for a short period of time, but the app has always worked even when the switch didn't, and then the following day the physical switch would again work. Not sure if that is the result of a bad switch or if something else is going on, but ultimately it is a relatively minor issue as I can always use the application to turn the lights on or off if needed. Wireless: again the setup and connection were easy, and I haven't had any problems with the switch staying connected to my network and always being accessible via the application. I have loads of problems with this on the WeMo switches. Design: The design is much more well thought out from the wiring to even the physical function of the Switch than the WeMo version. WeMo uses a capacitive touch plate that runs the entire length of the switch. This results in the dimmer level constantly being change, turned off, etc... whenever you turn the light switch on or off because almost the entire switch is capacitive touch. Kasa on the other hand has their dimmer buttons at the very top of the switch so they are never in the way but are very easy to access. Quality: Quality seems to be on par with the WeMo, but the design decisions were clearly well thought out. If feels like someone actually tested the Kasa Switch, while it feels like no one actually ever tested the WeMo switch design of they would have easily seen and addressed several of the blatant issues it has. Note: there is one oddity with the Kasa switch, you may consider it a good or bad thing, but when turning the switch on/off there is a slightly delay (maybe 1-2 seconds). It caught me off guard at first and made me think the switch wasn't working properly. I'm still on the fence on whether this is a good thing or not, I think I prefer the instant switching action, but I can see why some people might prefer the delay and once you realize it is there it is honestly not a major issue. The Kasa Dimmer switch isn't perfect, there are a few oddities to it, but it generally functions well, it seems to be far more well thought out than the WeMo switches and is significantly more reliable as a "Smart" switch. If you are trying to decide between Kasa and WeMo, don't wait, go with the Kasa switches, they are significantly better in almost every way than my WeMo Switches have been. At some point I will be replacing the rest of my switches with the Kasa Switches and removing WeMo entirely from my house as they just have way too many problems with them.

Be sure to check your wiring first! Bulkiness: The internal dimmer module is bulky. When installing it in a tight or shallow junction box, it requires careful management of the wires to fit the switch plate back on, which is the only real sticking point in the installation process. Once installed, the switch is highly reliable. It connects directly to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and responds instantly to voice commands via Alexa and Google Assistant, all without needing a separate smart hub. ⭐ Final Verdict The Kasa Smart Dimmer Switch HS220 offers features often reserved for more expensive systems, like fade customization and low-end calibration, at an incredibly competitive price. If you have a single-pole circuit that needs reliable, fully customizable smart dimming and you have a neutral wire, the HS220 is easily the best switch to buy.

Love it. Now my light switch is smart and I can control my lights with the Alexa and app. No more having to get up when forgetting to turn off the lights. Easy to wire up and connect. App is good and you cam fine tune the lights and even have them on a schedule too so they can automatically turn on/off at times of the day. I absolutely love these switches. I have small 2 kids and they constantly leave the lights on in our entire downstairs family room area. I often wouldn't know that they left a light on for hours or, for the garage, the whole night sometimes. So I had to find something that would stop the headache. T bought this switch specifically for our family room/playroom My goals when I started shopping: * Find a switch that has a plate with zero screws if I could- I liked the look for areas that mattered. this is a single switch and comes with a plate with no screws. I couldn't use it for where I was installing this but will save the plate for something else * Reliable light that would work well with wifi and my Amazon Alexa * "Quick" response when you give the order to Alexa- some lights had a bit of a delay from your request to when it actually turned on * a brand that could offer multiple models so I wouldn't have to download multiple apps to get them to work * a switch that did not have a super bright light that stayed on all the time- like the little green light. This one has a faint circle when the light is off that is perfect. These covered it all. I am pretty handy with electrical and I was able to install these myself in about 10-15 mins. The app has an amazing walk through to make it even easier. From there it was basically 2 clicks to have it sync with my Alexa and I was well on my way. I couldn't be happier. Couple of things to note: 1) make sure you have a strong wifi signal in the area where you are wanting to set these up- I put 2 of them in my garage and it took a bit longer for them to sync as the wifi isn't super strong as soon as i walk through my garage doors 2) This brand does not come as a double with a double plate- so as you will notice in the picture in the case of the double switch I used one that had exposed screws. 3) The dimmer function is great- it has you test how low your lights will go during setup and then that sets the "range" that it dims. You can also use the app to further customize the range. Love these and plan on buying many more of this brand.

I've installed more than 50 of these smart switches across several properties. Price-wise, these are on par with Lutron "dumb" switches that you'd buy at a big box store, and you get much more functionality. Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with basic electrical work. It's a bit like a GFCI outlet, though- they are fairly bulky, so there's not going to be a lot of spare room in the box. It can be tricky to get two of these into a duplex box. (Waygo's, or very, very neat wiring are your friend) We use these with Google Home, and they work very well. The only complaint I have about the integration is setting them up twice- once in the Kasa app, and then again in Google Home. It would be great if the setup process were all in one place and just flowed through. For example, when i have "Living Room" in both apps, Google Home should realize that I've set up a switch in Kasa and automatically assign it to "Living Room" in Google. I realize that is on Google- it's just something that should be addressed. Once it is integrated, though, you can mimic a much more expensive home automation system. I've seen homes with $30k-$50K just on home automation. These switches do a darn good job of mirroring that, and they don't require a server to run them. We've set up "scenes" like "Hey Google, it's time for movies"- and then Google can address the various switches and dim the lights, close the blinds, etc. It's quite a luxurious feeling. What I particularly like about these switches is that they stay connected to our wifi pretty well. I've experimented with several other brands, and some of them will drop off the wifi on an annoyingly frequent basis. I want to install, then not think about it again. In my primary residence, we have >30 switched that have been running for about a year. Only one has ever needed to be reconnected to wifi, and that has only happened once so far. (btw, reconnecting is relatively easy, as there are reset buttons carefully hidden on the front of the device- you don't have to take it out of the wall). So all in, electronics are well designed, installation is about what you'd expect, and integration with Google Home is pretty good. Kasa has done a very nice job with these switches.

Buenos días quiero ratificar que después de unos días de la fecha que se registró como entregado el paquete ¡llegó finalmente el producto! , lo revisé y venía cerrado y en buenas condiciones, lo conecte y probé y funciona de maravilla, la aplicación es muy sencilla y practica, lo recomiendo bastante, la relación precio producto es muy buena, gracias.

This is another great product from TP-Link. I am using their Smart WiFi Plug HS105 for the block heater with zero issues for three seasons already. HS220 comes with everything you need for installation but you absolutely need to check whether you have Neutral wire provided by your builder. If you don't adding it is pretty much impossible without reaping walls off. Seriously. I know a guy who sued his builder for failing to provide Neutral wire for lighting. First I would suggest to determine which wire is LINE and which is LOAD in your old light switch. I used multimeter for this purpose - you will always have 120ish volts between Line and Ground when the switch is OFF and nothing between LOAD and ground. Use Electric box as ground when you measure. I did have two LINE wires connected to the old mechanical switch - the second LINE was wired elsewhere and HS220 doesn't have any additional connectors for the second LINE. This is not an issue whatsoever - using pliers carefully make a half-loop for both LINE wires you have, completely unscrew the bolt (black in my case) on HS220 and remove small metal push plate. Lay both LINE wires the way so they wrap around the screw hole, put metal push plate back and tighten the black screw. Provided black screw is more than sufficient to tighten two 14G overlapped copper wires. Think strategically about all the wires you have in electric box since HS220 requires three times the space than you old switch. Locate all the wires in the box the way to allow enough space for the HS220 when you install it. Carefully push it in place applying pressure to the top and bottom flanges only (with Face Plate off, of course). Do NOT apply any pressure to the buttons while installing the switch. Do not panic if you don't get lights turning on fast enough with physical button or through the app. This is a well known issue which made people complain since December, 2020. This only happens because of double-tap functionality. Switch is making a delay checking whether single- or double-tap is used. Go to the TP-Link community website and download beta-firmware which works way better. Upgraded firmware from my PC and got ALMOST instantaneous switch response. The key word is almost since it doesn't look like you can get the same on/off performance from this switch as you do from a simple physical switch. Used the switch with cheap Sylvania 60W 2700K LEDs just for test. Will definitely go for brighter bulbs later. The only thing I REALLY don't like about this switch is annoying squeaking noise when on/off button is pressed. Makes entire unit feel really cheap. As per TP-link response this is working as intended and caused by the spring. UPDATE #1: Got two more switches and installed them the next day in two more rooms. Everything went smooth except of one switch with a somewhat crooked button which sticks and moves whenever the main button is pressed. There is definitely room for improvement in QC. Both switches are Hardware Version 3 and so far don't have any squeak. UPDATE #2: If you get dimmer switch wired on the same line as exhaust fan (I realized that one of my switches feeds exhaust fan in the nearby bathroom) you will get light blinking every time when the fan is turned off. Seems like this is the way all dimmer switches work. There is a solution suggested online involving the use of MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) 270V (175VAC/225VDC) 6500A Surge Through Hole 20mm Disc. Need to try it and see if it works. UPDATE #3: Bought MOV through "Jameco Electronics" online. Just Google their web site. Ended up getting MOV-20D271K-ND equivalent. Installed it on the bathroom fan switch and IT WORKED!!! Now I do not have any more flickering caused by line noise or RF noise, generated by the switch connected to the induction motor opening (turning off). When bathroom fan wired on the same line with one of my HS220 is turned off I have zero flickering. Highly recommend this solution to those who are interested in fixing this annoyance.

This was the first set of smart switches that i purchased and it was honestly a very confusing endeavor. there are just too many of them out there and a lot of mixed reviews. I ended up buying these on sale and honestly i am quite impressed. They were easy to install, easy to integrate with Google Home, and the app is super easy to use. As soon as you find the device, the firmware gets installed and you're good to go. I've lost electricity twice since they've been installed (not due to the switches) and they have never lost connection to wi-fi. They auto connect and without wifi still function like a regular switch. highly recommend this brand

It’s designed for American homes which have a 110V supply. UK homes have a 230/240 V supply so it can’t be used in UK homes

Funciona de maravilla, compre un par para probar y después de un mes comencé a automatizar por completo la casa, en precio conviene mejor que comprar lámparas inteligentes. El único problema que veo es que no están diseñados para las cajas de conexión estándar en México, si caben pero es muy complicado acomodar los cables, por lo que deben considerar este factor antes de comprar, sobre todo si sus cajas de conexión son demasiado antiguas; resolví este problema perforando a un lado de las cajas existentes e instalando una caja mas grande que ya puedes encontar en el mercado.
