I have caught 3 moles with these traps; they are the cheapest effective method of sorting out your mole problem. Don't hesitate!
The media could not be loaded. These traps are brilliant value for money. They are solid and well made. They are rust resistant and will definitely catch a mole if used correctly and placed in the right spot. YouTube has lots of videos showing how and where to set your traps and a little time researching the subject will be time well spent. If you are thinking of trying to catch a mole yourself, these traps represent the cheapest effective method of doing it. Don’t hesitate.I have four of these mole traps now and so far I have caught four moles. (I say three in the video, but I had forgotten mole number two which took me a long time to catch!I started out with one of these cheap traps and another considerably more expensive trap and I caught my first mole (in the expensive trap) within a couple of days. At the time, I had two active moles and I caught number two a few weeks later in one of these cheap traps. Then after a few months I noticed a lot more mole activity (I reckon three more moles) and set my two traps again. I waited a couple of weeks, moving the traps every few days with no luck and then I decided to purchase another three of these traps, as I figured the more traps I had, the more chance I had of catching the mole. Once I received the other three traps I set them up and a few days later I had caught mole number three, again in one of these cheap traps.I moved the traps again to try and catch mole number 4 and the very next day I had caught it (this is the one in the video). I am now hoping to catch mole number 5 and in the video I demonstrate how I set the traps and show what equipment I use.So, I have caught three out of the four moles with this type of trap. I do not think it has anything to do with the type of trap used; I think it is down to where and how you set them.

Easy to set
Despite the old wives tale about not using traps until you boil or dirty them to get rid of any smells I set one of these straight out of the box. There was a mole I've struggled to catch with my other traps however I say "was" as this morning there he was well and truly deceased - within hours of setting the trap. As an aside It put a smile on my face to see the trap came from Thetford, I used to live nearby, and travelled to the far North East in such a short time. So 5 stars for the product and for the delivery service. This design has been around for years, I remember my grandfather using them, and it shows if something works don't mess with it - a lesson Bill Gates could learn from.

Difficult to use
Product is reasonably built and priced but after one week has failed to catch anything. It is difficult to set the actuation ring in line with the trap jaws. Difficult to identify which run the mole will take.Mole hills popping up in different locations so perhaps would work better with multiple simultaneous traps in place.Update - I added two more traps to the area and also watched video on how to set. Caught the little blighter the next day. Yippee!

An effective solution
I tried several products to deter moles, some quite expensive, but none of them worked. I didn’t want to kill the moles but in the end I had to as they were wrecking my lawn. These traps work extremely well. Just remove the molehill, dig down to the tunnel and place this device, then push some soil down into the trap and cover thensurface to stop light getting in. I got 2 moles in 4 days. The springs are so strong I know the moles would have been dispatched instantly. Very effective solution.

Here's Why This Doesn't Work
Had these in my back garden for two weeks to try and catch a persistent mole (or two) that seemed intent on ruining my newly turfed lawn. You're supposed to find the run and site them at strategic points, but after moving them round a few times, no moles caught. They even seemed to take delight in burrowing next to or around the trap, and I started to feel like I was going to have a Caddyshack moment...Eventually I got he professionals out and they explained that these type of traps are not big enough to go into the runs which are typically much lower than the design of the trap will allow. Within days of using professionally sited deep traps, my problem was gone. I wish the £18 solution had worked - but £100 to save my garden was definitely worth it!

Should have bought this months ago.
Over the last 2 years have spent about £200 on a mole catcher. When the latest mole showed up in my garden I decided to try catching it myself. bought the traps (delivered the next day). The traps are very robust and rust resistant, but had very little info on how to set in the corrrect place. Watched the video on one of the reviews, which was excellent and went through everything you needed to know and do.Followed the reviewers video and left 2 traps set as they said. 2 hours later I had the mole despatched.Best £16 I have spent in a long time. excellent
