AIDILERKnitting Machine Counter, Suitable for Addi 46 Needle Row Counter

I use it on my Jamit knitting machine. Once I figured out how to attach it, I am very pleased with it. In attaching it, I made some blunders. The counter and magnet must be close together! I learned that after I first placed the magnet too far away from the counter. I also put too much glue on the magnet so that the glue ran down into the machine and jammed it. I thought I had ruined it completely. But with some gentle prodding the machine recovered. Also, the thin end of the magnet goes down. Now that it's rightly attached, It works great, and keeps me abreast of the number of rows I've cranked.

I don't care for the counter. It's bigger than another replacement counter I have bought. The double-sided tape that comes with it doesn't adhere to the machine well and eventually, the counter starts to lean away from the magnet. The display goes off in 1 1/2 minutes, not giving me enough time, in case I have to stop cranking for a bit. I took the counter off and put on the little purple counter, made by another outfit.

I purchased this to go on the 48 needle circular knitting machine Addi knock off due to no counter. I found this counter to be accurate. I worried that it would lose count after I walked away. To my surprise it kept could after 12 days. Its a keeper.

The counter works perfectly when the machine looses count. I glued it to my Addie!

When I ordered this, I thought I was getting both a knitting machine and the counter. I was looking for a beginner “kit”. That would have been a good purchase. Now that I’ve received this and gone back to scrutinize the listing, I see that it’s only the counter. I suppose if you have the knitting machine and paid between $100 and $200 for it, you might be inclined to spend another $25 for a counter. For me, this was quite disappointing. I now have a counter, which I will never use. I have no intention of spending $$$ on a knitting machine.
