Great for Personal Growth and Meaningful Connections
My background with these books:I saw a video maybe five years ago that recommended HtTs Kids Will Listen &LSKWT. I purchased it right away and proceeded to have absolutely no time to finish it. Within the last five years I read the first chapter around three times. Even that chapter alone was exceedingly useful to me. I finally had time and energy to work through the whole book. I immediately purchased the rest of my set both for myself and for a friend. I’m working my way through all of them and loaning them out to my family members. I’ve read the first chapter out loud to two people and worked through the exercises with them. A third person has one of my copies in hand and is excited to sit down with it and discuss it.My thoughts:These books are amazing, and I could discuss them all in depth, but I’m going to stick to the one I’ve already mentioned for the sake of this review. HtTSKWL&LSKWT is an excellent book. The setup of each chapter is organized and comprehensive. In each chapter, the authors 1) outline a potential problem 2) suggest a strategy to fix the problem 3) discuss questions from parents who participated in a learning group run by the authors and provide advice based on those questions, and 4) provide first hand accounts from parents. This book is well thought out and presented. I love that the authors present genuine and helpful advice rather than just telling the reader what Not to do. Even more than that, I love that the book emphasizes the importance of genuinely respecting other people —children included— and empathizing with them / having compassion for them so that listening and communicating becomes easier (and it helps you learn HOW to do it). I have learned a great deal about myself and the people around me based on these books. They are good, not only for speaking with children, but for communicating with adults. These are the kind of books that I recommend having on your shelf so that you can pull them out and use them as a helpful guide. I’ll probably reread one or two of them every few years. Every library should have them. Every household would benefit from access to them. They go a long way, not only in teaching how to communicate with children, but also in showing adults how to heal from inter generational trauma by retaking boundaries in conversation, respecting all participants, and by establishing a helpful linguistic and emotional code for handling difficult situations / confrontations.

Valuable Information
I read two of the books in this set by borrowing them from my local library and decided I needed them for myself!!! They’ve changed my perspective on so many parenting struggles. I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.

Good if you wanna learn something new
I’ve read some of it. I haven’t run the whole series yet, but it seems to be decent. Now you have to have patience to be able to do this type of parenting. It is surely not, but I grew up with.

Too much words and didn't make much sense at least to me. I still own the book but
