Tropical Treasure Chocolate Balls - Pineapple, Mango and Macadamia

Loved them. Thought a bit expensive, but good for a special occasion. Looks good, interesting taste, not too sweet, nice texture. BUT, perhaps only an adult ( I’m one) can appreciate these properly, as a child to whom a gave a taste didn’t like it!, so these are for those who love dark chocolate.

I'm not usually a fan of dark chocolate, it's far too rich for me, but the fruit drew me to these. After having tried them, I can say the richness of the dark chocolate is definitely balanced out by the sweet flavour from the fruits. My personal favourite was pineapple, but I am a huge pineapple fan in general anyway, so that wasn't a surprise to me.The boxes are pretty small and you don't really get a whole lot in each pack, but as a one off treat here and there I can definitely see myself getting a few more in future. Not very often though, as I'm still not a huge fan of dark chocolate, but these may have somewhat converted me (providing the dark chocolate surrounds some really nice fruit!).

The media could not be loaded.  I liked the simple ingredients, no rubbish in them. Delicious! I have just ordered more. I’m really pleased with these. I also think the price is very reasonable.

You get 3 packs, each with a different flavour. The first one I tried was the pineapple, which were soft and delicious. Very fruity taste (it's made of about 50% dried pineapple) which compliments the cocoa well. We all loved them and expectations were high for the other flavours as a result.Next was the Mango. This one had a different texture for some reason. Harder, but still edible. The mango was OK, but not as nice as the pineapple. If the pineapple was 5 star, then this was more like a 3.5.Next came the Macadamia, which I was looking forward to the most. I love these nuts. Sadly, they were *very* hard, to the point where none of us could even bite through to it! We had to get a knife to split it in half, and even then, I could not bite through it... I have no clue what on earth is going on, but they were hard to the point where they were completely inedible. 1 star I'm afraid!When you factor in all this, essentially you're left with 1 great flavour (pineapple), 1 OK flavour (mango) and 1 which you may as well throw in the bin (macadamia). While I love trying new things, I wouldn't personally purchase these again. If the pineapple is sold on it's own, then I recommend sticking to that one.

Three different packs of chocolate balls - pineapple, mango and macadamia.The packaging is stylish and they look a quality product.The dark chocolate works well with the fruit, my favourite was the pineapple, however I would like to have more fruit flavour, as the dark chocolate does overpower the fruit somewhat. You do get the sweetness though.I was concerned that I had a fruit chocolate ball in the nut pack. No idea how this could happen and I wouldn't expect it. I hope that none of the nut ones find their way into the fruit packs! I really wanted to like these as they sound amazing/ I mean, who doesn't want mango in chocolates? Pineapple in chocolates? How about macadamia nuts in chocolate? Exactly!This small box arrived and inside were packs of the aforementioned chocolates, small and perfectly formed, and looked great. So I had at them. Sadly, this is where the positives end for me...They're just not that nice I'm afraid, they're quite bland, with the chocolate "overpowering" the flavours of the pineapple, mango, or macadamia nuts, and the chocolate just isn't good. There is nothing here to keep you coming back.Nice presentation, shame about the taste.
