18 months ago I had severe back pain. I was diagnosed as having a fractured spine and osteoporosis. The severe pain went but I was left with a severe constant lower back ache. In order to try to cut down on pain killers I asked my Doctor about back braces. She said that they work very well for some but others do not get any benefit at all. I bought one of these and it has worked wonders with my back pain. For most of the time it has almost gone altogether and I have been able to cut down on pain relief tablets.PROS. Well made. The 2 belts are each one piece of neoprene, so no seams to eventually come apart.No stiff edges or components so comfortable to wear.Large pieces of good quality Velcro.For my back it works far above expectations.CONS. In the hot weather it can be a bit sweaty. In the winter I may be grateful for the extra warmth.Close up it has a slight rubbery smell.I can only say that it has sorted my back out. It may or may not do the same for you.UPDATE. Having now had this for nearly 3 months I have found great benefit from it. I put it on when I dress in the morning, wear it all day while I am up and about and take it off in the evening. My back pain although not cured is far, far better than it was. I have been able to cut my medication and even after I take it off my back pain is still much reduced. I would not be without it. It is showing no signs of wear and is obviously made of high quality materials.FURTHER UPDATE. It is showing no signs of wear. The stitching, elastic and velcro are showing no signs of wear. I have no need to wear it every day now. When I get up in the morning or during the day if I feel my back is not as it should be I put it on for a day or to. Because of my medical problems I know my back will never be completely pain free but this belt gives me great relief when I need it. It is made to a high standard.

Nice, feel supported. Worth the money just for the break in pain

I recently purchased the Medicare back support belt and I am very happy with my purchase. The belt provides excellent support for my lower back and helps alleviate my back pain. It is comfortable to wear and easy to adjust for the perfect fit. The material is durable and well-made, so I feel confident that it will last a long time. This belt is perfect for lower back issues. It really is supportive and it has plenty of adjustments.

I have bought so many of these , but cheaper one's for about half the price and the plastic ribs poke through near the stitching all the time...But this brace is soo much better made and helps supports my back much better....

I give this 3 stars based on my own personal needs. It’s important to remember, anyone who writes a review and gives it 1 star is saying it’s pants in their opinion. Someone with 5 star reviews obviously helps out in a big way. So my 3 stars are based on my own personal experience.I had purchased a similar belt a couple of years prior and I ordered a large. I am not thin and I have a 34 inch waste and unfortunately it was to small but I made it work. For my particular needs, I needed a support for my lower back due to living with chronic back pain after I had a AxiLif in 2009 that went wrong leaving me unable to ever work again. So my needs are greater and so I needed something to support my lower back. I had spent years trying to find anything that helped but everything failed, along with 10 yrs going through the NHS again trying to figure out how I managed to be in a worse situation than pre op.Regardless, I was having a really hard time of it last weekend, the pain was horrendous and I started looking for something to help when I saw the advert for this MediBelt. The big selling point for me is the heated points on the belt. For whatever reason, when I was having a bad spell with the pain, I would either put the heated blanket on full or use one of those heated pads you can buy and it did tend to ease the pain. So I read the reviews before buying the belt and most said it was very good. Having not worked since that op in 2009 and having to live off disability benefits ever since the cash is tight. So at close to £60 is isn’t the cheapest BUT it was cheaper on Amazon than other places I looked. So that’s a positive.I said the large was not a great fit so I went with the XL this time and despite being emailed to say the delivery would be like 3 week in the middle of May, it arrived in just 3 days after I purchased and I opted for free delivery, so that’s a saving of £5It’s nicely boxed but sadly no instructions. I did Google the belt and managed to find the instructions which was helpful because when I first open the box and pressed the little button for the heat to come up it didn’t come on at all. Also, the belt was XL but it wasn’t that much bigger than the Large, so keep that in mind and I am still a 34 inch waist. It will not matter if it wraps around you more with the added extra length, so I would suggest a couple of sizes up from your usual.I read the instructions from Google and you needed to keep the button pressed for 3 second's. It also has 3 settings for the level of heat and this can be changed by just pressing the button once, when it’s already on.It’s also got a safety feature that automatically shuts down the heat after 30 minutes. For me personally, I need it longer than 30 minutes so it can be a pain (no pun intended) to reset it because if it’s on it’s because I need it on but I get the reasoning. Sadly for me and I did read this 1 star review that said the charge only lasted x2 30 hours. The reason I bought it was because I thought 30 hours was reasonable for the heat to be on anyway. I now know it should have said x2 30 minutes. The battery was totally flat when I first charged up my belt which took about 5 hours and I had the belt on with the heat on max for about 6 times before it needed recharging. For me, that’s not really any good for me. On a bad day pain wise I could use that in just 3 hours before it needed charging again and you can’t really charge it while wearing the belt. But I understand of course. It’s only a little device about 1.5 inches square so the battery must be small, so to give off that power for such a small battery is impressive, it’s just I need a bigger battery that will go longer without the need to charge it so often.That’s basically the reason for the 3 out of 5 stars for me. The belt is great but the size you think you need isn’t the correct size and I suggest go for 2 sizes bigger than you need and the amount of cycles before it needs a recharge is around 6 and I made sure it was fully charged that first time. At present and bear in mind it’s only been a week I’ve had the belt, I think it’s made a difference but only because of the high heat it gives off. So at least it does work and it’s really a good support for the lower back.These are my own words and I was not offered anything in return for this feedback.Plaza

This back support brace was used to help relieve lower back pain.It is well constructed and robust and is easily concealed under loose clothing.The only downside is that if the device on on continuously, the battery pack does not last very log-- one hour maximum.

So I fell off a ladder landing awkwardly on my lower back on an out door wicker chair, a month and a half later the pain and discomfort were almost to much. I work in the service industry outside constantly bending, leaning and carrying heavy items. Actually I was very limited on the work I could perform and finally had to stop working cause my back was not getting any better, so before making a dr. Appt and being told to do physical therapy, strengthen your core, I bought this little gem. I wore it back to work and after a 16 hour day, no pain and very little discomfort, next day, even better, and the next so much better I took it off with a couple hours left on the job I was on,within minutes I started feeling plain and discomfort. Immediately put it back on and I was goisyfor the remainder of the job.Do yourself a favor, this is a miracle worker, it has helped me beyond what any doctor could do. You’ll be pleasantly surprised
