Learned a ton
This is such a great study for any stage of parenthood. The author points every little things in your home back to the Bible. We’ve gotten so much encouragement from this book, and have taken so many things into practice. Would 100% recommend.

Great Pair to the book
If you are reading Habits of the Household, I would highly suggest going through the workbook too. The workbook helps you to actually put all the practices he talks about in the book into practice. It’s been great to sit down weekly with my husband and go through this workbook together. This book has helped us become better parents for our kids!

Great Small group content
Content is great. Study guide was a bit confusing in the way it suggests to present content. But trust the process and just go with it. Relevant & heart changing.

UPDATED: Kindle version is good to go!
When this first came out the kindle version didn't include the video content but it now does! Thank you to the publishers for correcting this. Our small group at church is working our way through this material and the reaction has been spectacular! We modified the small group flow to fit our time needs but the content has already touched us all! It has been wonderful to see people jump into these with their families and watch the little kids start to pick up on the new habits. Can't thank the author enough for this labor of love, God bless you all.

Great Guide, especially if you liked the book
This is a really well-made resource for building habits for your household, though most of the material is focused on raising children. I had read most of the book "Habits of the Household" years ago so a lot of the material was familiar. Some stories were the same but seeing/hearing them from the author made them more impactful.I think there is a lot to gain from this study guide, even if you don't agree with everything the author says. The five sessions are great general discussion points. The author gives a lot of examples of how he implements the session topics but there is a lot of room to use the principles according to your own parenting philosophy. This study guide is very religious, though the methods are not gleaned directly from the Bible. The methods are explained in a way to show why they are beneficial. Then, at times, biblical principles are referenced to show how the methods meet those principles. This is not a criticism at all. I don't take the Bible as a step-by-step guide for all of life so there really wouldn't be a detailed parenting method drawn from it. I think the presentation of the material is really good. The video sessions are good. They're short and very personable. The video quality/setting is also good. It's often a mixture of the author speaking and scenes from his family life. It really brings the book to life. All of the videos are available with the code on a website.I would highly recommend this study guide. It's a great way to begin conversations. It is full of grace and guidance, as well of many examples for how to implement these habits into your life. Intentional parenting is becoming more important in a connected world. It is very easy for other influences to reach your children today and this guide helps parents navigate those interactions.

Fabulous pairing with the book!
I haven't made my way through the entirety of this book yet (it's so easy to read though, I feel like I could simply tear through it without even thinking) but instead, I've been forcing myself to read slowly, to really think about each concept and meditate on each habit. And I've found that this workbook is the PERFECT companion to reading the main book, truly thinking deeply about each habit, and putting new habits into place.Be fair warned: this book will challenge you and revolutionize your life!! It's absolutely incredible how each habit is broken down - and not in a degrading or demoralizing way (which is what I originally feared when someone suggested this book to me), but in a very reasonable and honest way.

Wonderful book and study guide! Perfect for anyone starting a family or about to start a family.
My spouse and I read the book, "Habits of the Household" earlier. But, when this study guide came out, we decided to read it again with this Study Guide. We have also introduced both the book and study guide to our Small Group at church. Soon, we'll be leading our Small Group through a 5-week course, with the hopes that other Small Groups will also take this on or have a church-wide weekend group study.I really like that the author, Justin Whitmel Earley, has organized this for Personal study or a Group study. He also has a section in the back of this guide specifically for leaders. In the Leader section, Justin explains different approaches for completing this in a group setting (i.e., weekly, 3-day retreat, or 1-day retreat). He also gives the leaders tips and help on how to motivate and encourage the group, as well as keep the discussion moving and stay on topic. Justin has done a great job of organizing this Study Guide and having estimates of how long each task should take. That worked out great, even when it was just me and my spouse doing this together, because we knew exactly how much time we needed to commit. In addition, I really like that in this Study Guide, Justin has lots of scriptural references, quotes from other Christians, and lots of different questions and discussion points with a place to write down your answers. I think he almost covers every area that a husband, wife, and children can encounter in today's culture and society. I think this book and study guide are even more important today than at any time in the past. Family's are busy and many times parents (me included) get into a rut of doing what we've learned or done in the past. This book and study guide will truly help Parents learn to raise godly families and live as a disciple and follower of Jesus Christ. The price of this study guide seems a little high. But, when you factor in all of the online content and videos it includes, as well as the lifetime impact you will have on your children, this is an absolute bargain. I highly recommend this Study Guide if you are going to read or have read the book Habits of the Household. This would also make a great gift for a newly married couple or new family. I am even planning to go through this with my children when they graduate and are considering marriage.
