I was waiting for this product for the longest time, and not so long ago I've finally got me one. I was tempted to purchase a charging station from a third party but after carefully reading reviews about some freezing the PS4 or covering the front usb ports I decided to wait for an official charging dock from Sony. It's definitely worth the extra money that you'd might off safe on buying one from a third party here's why.1) it's heavy and sturdy, it won't slip and slide around if you move cables around.2) no ghost on outlets, meaning the charging dock is not consuming any electricity even if it's plugged in 24/7 ( without ps4 controllers of course)3) ps4 light bar indicates when its in charging mode, light bar will light up when docking the controller but will not remained lit only when docking4) automatic shutoff, once the controllers are finish charging the dock will not continue passing current and won't harm the controllers.5) can be dock in with any accessories/add-ons, thumb gribs, stickers ect. Except battery pack6) this is my taste but I prefer a cradle like this over something like the nyko. It looks better aesthetically next to the ps4, don't need the console to charge controllers. Ps4 has a sexy slim design why would you add more bulk to the consle,Cons1) cable is a little short, so can't have it next to your couch or bed (surge protector! Duh)

It works. And it works well... Simple to use, solid build, and looks awesome too.

Good article, very useful for what it is needed for. It had signs of wear but it does not affect its operation.
