Cute and useful
The colour isn’t very bright so it makes a good nightlight and has a sensor to turn itself off in the day. I suggest dont putting it in a dark corner however otherwise it will always be on.

Affordable and well priced fun night light
Arrives in 2 parts that needs to be clicked together and then its ready to go. Made of what feels like cheap plastic but expected for how much it's priced at. Gives a great fun way to light up the way to the toilet at night. The colours will fade into one another without the ability to choose. This is okay because the light is gentle but provides enough to see your surroundings. The light sensor is on the top and is very sensitive. Now the reason I removed one star is because my flat is dimly lit as most homes would be. This triggers the light and so it remains not he whole time. It is very dim light because it gets brighter the darker it gets however I would prefer that it stays off when it is day time. For that reason I have to keep this switched off from the mains and on every night which is a hassle that I wouldn't want to deal with.

Sensor element slightly unreliable but good light level
The media could not be loaded. As per the title, our mushroom light is a little unreliable in terms of automatically turning on and off relative to light levels. However, when on, it throws out pretty coloured light, cycling through all the colours on a set, preset basis. It’s enough to just about light the way in a hallway. However, if you put it in a communal area and happen to have glass panels above doors, the fairly rapid cycling of colours might irritate more than soothe, and I think it would be better described as a novelty light as opposed to night light exactly because of that rapid cycling through colours.Build wise, it’s cheap, fairly brittle plastic, that might not last long if dropped or knocked. It also looks like cheap plastic, but the pieces went together fine and it fits snugly and appropriately in a UK socket. At the current price of £9.99, I do feel it’s slightly overpriced, and I wouldn’t be happy to pay that for one. But at £8 or below, I’d say it was ok.

Nice little night glow, plug and play.
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice little night light that does exactly as described. Plug and play, slowly transitioning the colours controlled by its integrated dusk to dawn sensor.Upon unboxing the only requirement is to fit the mushroom head for which tools are not required, then just simply plug in to the desired socket and switch on. During daylight hours there is a power on indicator light which then works as the colour changing led during the hours of darkness. My video really does not do it justice as mushroom does change colour, it just appears washed out in the video.Whilst I wish it was a little brighter, it certainly will help in a kids room to help reduce the scary shadows where monsters lurk.

Cheap plastic
The media could not be loaded. The gloomie Led mushroom light seemed like the perfect night light for my son. The light is fairly dim but just enough. I love the name, the packaging and the concept of this product. Upon opening it's clearly made very cheaply. I expected the mushroom to be of some kind of silicone material or at least soft as it looks like it's designed for kids. The edges are uneven and sharp in places and not overly child friendly. My son could have this apart in seconds. The light changing feature looks quite magical so it's such a shame about the product quality here. Especially for the price. This is definitely of pound shop quality. Re-think the materials and this product would be worth every penny. Disappointed overall.

A very basic nightlight - some quality control issues
What annoyed me in my OCD eye for detail was that when I went to assemble the item I couldn’t fit them together because of surplus plastic on the mushroom head moulding. If you look at the photos you’ll see what I mean. It’s surely a moulding process error, possible temperature, that’s causing the plastic to hold onto the mould and drag a little when removed. Given that these items pump out of the moulds at a huge rate of knots it may just be a one off that unfortunately has gone to the man who notices and remarks on these sorts of things.Other than that niggle it fits together well (once fettled) and does what it says on the tin. I tried photographing it in darkness, but it shows just an insignificant blur of light - which is as a nightlight should perform. So I have one photo in daylight for scale viewing. If you need a nightlight then it is sufficient.
