Very useful atlas of Ww 2
I needed an atlas of Ww2 with clear battle plans when reading Ww2 books as all these books do not have sufficiently big maps for us to follow the thrust of the advance .This book is excellent. The maps are in colour and big enough for older men to see.The battles are well summarised in text and gives one a complete picture in a page or two .I find this book useful when I read the 2 excellent books by Peter Caddick-Adams ie. Sand and Steel (D day )and Snow and Steel ( Battle of the Bulge).

WW2
Bought as a gift for a male relative who is interested in past wars. Watches lots of programs and this book is an excellent addition. He will be able to now visualise better the the conflict across Europe.

Ww2 with pics
It had all the main stuff with pics one needs to know about ww2 but it probably could have been a little smaller & wider.

There are better books out there.
Superficial not well written or researched. If you don’t know anything about the topic it might be a good place to start. However there are much better books I would recommend books written by. Winston Churchill or even an Internet search on Google.

Where are the Weapons?
The title is misleading as there aren't really any weapons in the book, a few pictures and that is it. Was hoping for weapon descriptions perhaps by battle, or at the very least weapons used in the Blitzkrieg of Poland or by theatre, but nothing. Additionally, while some battles are included most of this is higher level - theatre level. If you're looking for battles try Simon Goodenough's, "War Maps", 1982.
