Four hardcore heroes. One high-speed torpedo boat. Ten thousand bullets! Lock n' load with the baddest group of mercenaries ever to hit the high seas of Southeast Asia! Aboard their World War II torpedo boat, the Black Lagoon , Dutch the Boss, Benny the Mechanic, Revy Two Hand, and Rock, the salaryman from Japan, deliver anything, anywhere. In the dangerous underworld of the Russian Mafia, Chinese triads, Colombian drug cartels, crazed assassins, and ruthless mercenaries, it's hard to know who to trust. But if you've got a delivery to make, and you don't mind a little property damage along the way, you can count on the crew of the Black Lagoon ! Roanapur turns into a war zone when Balalaika and Hotel Moscow team up with the Triad to hunt down the psychotic Romanian killers Hansel and Gretel. The bloody climax leaves Rock scarred by the grim reality of the underworld he's become a part of, but there's no rest for the wicked. A terrorist organization makes a move against the Triad, and the crew of the Black Lagoon once again gets pulled into the line of fire as an echo of the past comes back to haunt the present. Cock the hammer, it's time for action! Review: Mr Chang at his best! - This volume concludes the dark and gritty "Bloodsport Fairy Tale" and it continues to shock as much as it did in the beginning! The next story arc "Goat, Jihad, Rock'n Roll" begins when Mr Chang stumbles upon some plans belonging to middle eastern terrorists, who are plotting an attack on the USA. When Mr Chang offers to sell these plans to the CIA he becomes a target himself! This was a much welcome lift from the previous volume and even has a bit of humor, best of all Chang really shines here with his trademark wit and he even schools Revy during an awesome shoot-out. This arc is continued in volume 4. Review: Five Stars - Love Black Lagoon. Wish there were more.

the anime was amazing and so was the manga a must for any action/comedy manga fan

ruthless
the story of the murdering twins concludes and it goes to show just how ruthless Balalaika really is. The latter half of this arc is an improvement over the great start it had, but I guess that's because this is the payoff while the first half was the buildup.

Okuyun,okutturun

Balalaika Is The Best
Awesome ending to the Hansel and Gretel arc with us getting a better idea of why no one messes with Hotel Moscow. The beginning of the next arc is also interesting and fun. Introduced 2 new characters that seem really fun and I hope they stick around. Once again a great read. If you want a Manga in the style of classic action movies of the 80's and 90's I can't think of anything better than Black Lagoon.
