Very Weak
I don't have a great knowledge of magnets, but I've never happened upon purpose-made magnets which were as weak as these. I wanted them for a small experiment to demonstrate electromagnetism by spinning a ring of magnet wire using the magnetic field of these magnets in conjunction with the magnetic field created by a simple circuit powered by an AA battery. The result was no apparent effect. I subsequently used neodymium disc magnets (6 mm x 10 mm) which worked perfectly. As P. B. Friel noted is a previous comment - they can barely stay on a fridge, I agree with that. And the claim of 0.45 kg strength is highly dubious: they can barely hold their own weight.Again, I add the caveat that perhaps there is a specific use for these magnets that I am ignorant of. But for most uses much stronger magnets would be required.

not what I (in ignorance) expected
These magnets are only magnetic from one side (very weakly magnetic on reverse side, I think ) and so can't be used to hold two items together - with the magnet between them.As far as I am aware "normal" (traditional) magnets are magnetic both sides. The product description (prior to ordering) does not describe this. The manufacturer's website explains this -( more or less ) - in their descriptions of uses for their magnets.Customers might be advised to visit their website prior to purchase or given a link ... !

These are rubish
These don't even stay on my fridge door. .45kg pull more like .00000045kg the best part was the container they came in.Don't buy these waist of moneylook somewhere else

craft magnets
these magnets are extremely suitable for any light weight crafting. they come packed in a very handy little storage container.
