TOLRET Rivet Nut Tool Kit, Rivnut Tool Kit with 10 Metric and SAE Mandrels

In my opinion, this works much better than the wishbone-style rivnut tools. It gets into tighter areas and is a much more compact ratchet-style tool. It’s not big, bulky, or awkward to store. There is a bit of a learning curve when setting it up the first time, but once you get the hang of it, it’s well worth it. It’s a great value, especially since it comes with all the collets and tons of rivnut inserts in both SAE and metric sizes, all the way up to M12, which is great for things like bumpers and other heavier applications. You can always purchase additional inserts separately, including stainless steel inserts if needed. What really makes this tool great is the compact storage box. It fits right in your toolbox instead of those huge wishbone-style units that you usually have to hang on a wall or sacrifice an entire toolbox drawer to store. It’s well built and definitely not one of those cheap, flimsy tools. Overall, I’m very impressed with it and think it’s an excellent value for the money!

This is a very different nutsert tool. If you have used a wishbone type of riveting tool, you'll have to learn a new way. This is a ratcheting tool, it works differently. Takes a bit of a learning curve, but easily learned. Test a rivet or two first on a blank piece of metal. Well built, heavy duty, tool itself is heavy. Nice thing is it can be used in tight places. Odd thing is the nose cone, has two opposing flats for a wrench to assist in removal, but no wrench included. All it needs a flat open end 20mm wrench, but they are not common. I did find a flat, short one online, but they should include one. Nice case, pinned hinges, has large area the for rivets. Would like to see the case with independent sections for the rivets instead of cellophane packs. There is storage in the lid for all the mandrels, very snug in their respective slots. Large, clear, size markings on the end of the mandrels. Instruction sheet could be written better, had to guess at a few things. The manual is 4 pages, with the last two being blank. They could include a chart on what drill size to use for each size of rivet included with the set, and thickness tolerances of the material being riveted to. The instructions indicate a scale on the tool, it took some very close looking to find a tiny scale, a decal that cannot not be seen while using, supposedly to help set the stroke of the tool. Really, you have to trust “feel” to get it set right. Yes, it can work with aluminum nutserts. Overall, good tool for the money, would recommend it to any mechanic & sheet metal worker.

Excellent tool kit I am very satisfied with this kit. It comes quite complete and organized in a compact case that makes it much easier to have all the pieces in one place. The tools feel sturdy and of good quality, and the different sizes allow for a wide variety of repair and maintenance work. I especially liked that it includes all the necessary accessories and that each piece has its space inside the case, which helps keep everything tidy. It is an excellent option both to have at home and for DIY jobs. Very practical, complete and with an excellent value for money. I totally recommend it!

Okay. I originally gave this tool a very bad rating and said some bad things. 😬 Probably cuz the directions are very vague . Regardless once I figured out how to use the tool correctly it does work pretty well

Very happy with this tool. Works very well. Have been using riv nuts for some time but my other tool is a bit too big and limits where it can be used. This definitely helps as it's a much smaller footprint. Easy to use. Highly recommend.

Great value for this as it comes with all the collets and tons of rivnuts inserts both sae and mm sizes all the way up to m12 for bumpers etc. you can always get extra inserts and use stainless steel inserts purchased separately. What makes this great is that Everything comes in a nice compact size box that fits in your tool box as opposed to those other huge wishbone units most have to hang on a wall or takes up too much room in your tool box drawer. It is well built and not one of those elcheapo kind of tools.

I have 3 different types of nut cert tools. the smaller 90* type, and a couple of the larger ones. one of the larger ones had broke when setting some 3/8" ones. I got this set as a replacement as it was a different style and i was looking for something a bit more compact for certain situations. Man, let me tell you this thing is a great option. much more controlled pressure application on the actual nutcert, more compact than most of the other tools, will handle most of the usual sizes. It is a little finicky to get working as there is a certain way to operate it and no good instructions. My recommendation, grab a few sacrificial nutcerts and crush them down by themselves so you can see how it operates. It will give you a much better idea on the operation before you are actually using it in action.

This is really a great tool and I've used it extensively. But there are no replacement parts and no support. I broke the 8-32 mandrel, which is also the one I use the most. But I'm unable to buy a replacement, the only way to get one is to re-buy the ENTIRE kit, not going to happen. Pretty disappointing since this really is great and I use it a lot. If I have to buy a replacement tool, I'll find one from someone with actual support and replacement parts.
