It fits on Porsche 996 but you need to remove both before install
I read the reviews about the shock strut being the wrong size and that is what I thought after removing the first strut. Wrong size. Read reviews and looked for instructions. Then the light bulb went off, remove the second strut and then you can move the trunk to the correct height for install. Works great and trunk operates correctly now. Huge difference.

Fit my 2007 Cayman perfectly.
Very easy to put on. Pops the frunk lid quite fast. I’ll get used to it. Much better than having the old ones and the lid bonking me on the head.

Worked, but have a high spring force
Fit 2008 911 as advertised. The spring force seems much higher than the original gas springs that came with car but they do fit and function. Great value. We will see about longevity

Do not trust their fit guides.
These absolutely did not fit my Porsche 996, being 1cm too long to mount.

Piece of cake - with a little help from my (Youtube) friends
I've lost the use of these struts since eternity began: I see it as non-essential to fix because I don't often use the front trunk, and who knows how much it'll cost to fix - a broomstick or someone close by can help me prop it open if necessary. Doing a quick search on Youtube showed me how easy it was to replace. These looked like the right ones: so, I pulled the trigger. Still it was with great trepidation that I went about changing it. You really do need a smaller flathead to pry the band open, and no, once you've got one, you just need to twist off the other (just remember which way it goes). It would be really helpful, not so much while removing them, but installing the new ones, to have someone hold the trunk lid open. It is also helpful to push on these rather stiff struts to loosen them a bit - only then can you have them pointing in opposite directions. Someone said they are too long; I don't know that that's the issue as much as the struts being quite stiff, and therefore, forceful. Better watch your chin when it springs up. I hope the stiffness means it'll last a long time - we'll see; but for now, I'm very happy with this.

Strong lift, good quality
Good quality and fit perfectly. Literally took a minute each side with a small flat head screwdriver to take off the old clips, these struts push right in in their place. They are strong, one will hold up the hood without straining. I might just use one old and one new. Probably a good idea to hold onto the hood till it’s all the way up to avoid putting stress on the hinges.I’d guess the difference with OEM is they have less liftMy car is a 2005 BoxsterTwo years on (must be) and these guys are working perfectly, showing all the strength they had on day 1
