This was a set my son (age 8) ordered for his local fishing tournament with his chore money. He got a lot of different fishing tackle for a great price. Thankful it has a lot of pieces, a simple all in one purchase!

good color slection

Although the Amazon listing emphasis is on trout, these are the perfect size for crappies. If I was putting together a survival kit, some of these would be in that kit. Jigs with plastic baits have been my most productive lure for the past 50 years, and even small ones catch large game fish. I like the compact size of this kit, and keep it in my car with a collapsible fishing rod. When I am driving around and see a likely looking spot, one of the lures from this kit is the one I am most likely to try first. This also is a good kit if you are new to fishing, or if you are looking for a present for an angler.

This kit is a clone of Leland lures popular trout and panfish magnets in one complete kit. You’ll receive an assortment of colors on the plastic baits, three strike indicators (one strike indicator each in green, chartreuse and red), and 20 1/64 oz jig heads In the popular Leland shad shape in various colors. It, however, did not come with the 10 split shot that is advertised in the description of the product. Because of that, I knocked off one star from this fairly decent kit.The dye job on the strike indicators is not as perfect as the trout magnet version (see attached picture of trout magnet strike indicators on the left, and this kit on the right) however, it’s very passable, and they do float just as well as the trout magnet strike indicators do.The dye job on the plastic baits is also a little bit faded compared to the trout magnet versions but is still good enough that I believe it will catch fish without a problem. The baits on this kit are also just a bit wider and the split tail is more pronounced. In regard to size and shape, I think I prefer this kits bait over the trout magnet version. (see attached pictures for examples of differences in color, shape, and size)Given the price and how many different colors of the kit you get it’s a very reasonable price I would recommend people purchasing this if they want to try fishing with trout/panfish magnets or trying ultralight fishing plastics at a reasonable price.

I love all the pieces this comes with! It has everything you could need for trout and you can catch a good amount of other fish with this kit too. Everything seems to be well made so far and I haven't had any issues with it!

Great kit for trout or panfishing. Exactly the same as the name brand.Lots of options to try different color and combinations.

This small kit has served me and my kids well on numerous fishing trips along the Florida canals. The cichlids absolutely LOVE these. Besides cichlids, we've caught plenty of other fish, including a few bass and several different species of panfish. However, it's mostly the cichlids that go crazy for these! It's been so much fun.

This is a pretty nice set for a novice fisher like me. I like to mess around with different lures and see which ones I like the best. There's a good variety of colors of split tail grubs, as well as weights, bobbers and hooks. These seem made pretty well. Wasn't sure how I was going to like them, but it reels in the fish so I don't mind it at all! I think the value is definitely worth it and I'd definitely recommend.
