Great product, but rarely in stock
This is a great product. It makes my dogs coat so incredibly soft and silky. Everyone comments on how soft his coat is. It does reduce shedding but does not stop it all together. I’ve been using it for years and each time I purchase this product it becomes harder and harder to find. I’m switching to a different product because this one is too hard to keep in stock at home.

I'll keep buying this product
I bought this out of desperation, because I was dealing with a dog (2 year old beagle) that was shedding beyond what was normal. I could pet him and clumps of hair would come off. I changed his dog food and changed his flea medication. I also started adding this supplement. He is shedding much less than he used to, but it might have been any of those aforementioned changes and not this supplement. As far as the product goes, Elmer (my dog) loves the taste. I haven't noticed any big improvements in the texture of his fur, but he's hard to keep clean and rolls around in all kinds of unsavory things in the backyard. (Sigh..beagles.)Some have had trouble with the bottle, but it doesn't bother me that much. It is what it is. It was shipped with the lid taped securely on, which was nice and shows the distributor is paying attention to these reviews and resolving any potential issues. I've had no trouble squeezing it over his dog food. I had to get used to how to dispense it, though. If you tip it sideways, it tends to drip. If you open it, then tip it straight on its head, squeeze out the amount needed (I eyeball it), then quickly turn it upright, it doesn't drip as bad.Over all, I think this is a great and affordable way to improve your dog's diet.

This really works--shedding is down by about 50% and the dogs love it.
I bought this based on other reviewers positive comments, and they're right, it definitely helps. I have two small white dogs and the chihuahua mix in particular seems to be able to fill the vacuum each day with his white hair. Since I started using Shed Relief and/or Shed Relief Plus, the volume of shedding is about 50% less. I haven't noticed a particular difference between the two in terms of how well they work. The dogs are more enthusiastic about their food since I've been using this and I also notice their coats are smoother and softer. The product seems to be very good for them all around, so I've started ordering it in gallon size. My only complaint is that the bottle doesn't pour cleanly and needs to be rinsed off with some frequency. Wish it came in a container that didn't regularly drip down the sides, but part of that is just a function of the fact that it's an oil. Very pleased with the product. And my vacuum, black clothing and dark upholstery all thank Lambert Kay for making a product that decreases the fur balls!

My dog will eat!
So, I have a long hair German shepherd. Which means I have constant hair tumbleweeds about the size of softballs traveling around the apartment. Since getting this product, shedding may have cut down a small amount, but more importantly her coat looks beautiful. Soft and glamorous. I even think she's been able to go without a bath for longer without getting greasy, if that's not my imagination.I actually got this because I had not been able to find a vitamin solution that she would eat (very picky dog, surprisingly enough for a dog found on the streets). I tried seameal but she ended up not eating for a couple of days until we took it out. Even just kibble alone she picks at. With linatone, she now waits until we put it in and then gobbles up her bowl.I'm not honestly sure if it has cut down on the shedding. If anything it's given us a couple more days post-vacuuming, but we still have to vacuum often enough that it's not too noticeable. But the 5-stars comes from the fact it is a vitamin supplement our picky dog will eat, and hopefully inside it is nourishing her nicely.--on a side note - did anyone notice their dog played less while using this? She seems to be tiring more easily...maybe she's just eating more? Not sure if it's the supplement at all, maybe the timing just seems to add up...anyone had anything similar?

This is an absolutely amazing and essential part of my dogs daily diet
This is an absolutely amazing and essential part of my dogs daily diet. My English chocolate lab has a lot of seasonal and food allergies (grain free, allergic to chicken, rice) that we’re drying out his skin, making him itchy, and very uncomforable. We used to call him “Thumper” like the Disney character In the middle of the night you wouldn’t be able to like the see him but you would hear him scratching “thump thump thump.” I can say that ever since we started using this product my son has had the most beautiful coat and his itching had ceased. Not only does the product do wonders for my dog but it also tastes great to him. He loves the Linatone “special sauce” as well as my sisters dog who lives upstairs. My sisters dog actually stopped eating his food upstairs because he was jealous of my sons food and the special sauce! He would refuse to eat the dry food without the Linatone. So thank you for making such an incredible product that is so crucial for my dog and his brothers health and happiness ❤️

Pro groomer with 20+ years of use with this product
I'm a professional groomer and have used this product for my pets as well as gotten many of my clients hooked on it for over 20 years (and many label changes). I still call it Linatone Plus and cannot recommend it highly enough. No fishy odor or risk of mercury. Takes about a month of use to get results (it's a nutritional supplement, not magic). It is best for the dogs/cats of allergy sufferers. My husband was allergic to cats when I first met him. I put my cats on this (the dog was already taking it to reduce shedding) and he was much better after a few weeks. It keeps the skin moist and supple so dander isn't there to flake off and get airborne and cause respiratory problems. Great for itchy, dry "winter skin" that comes around November of each year. It is a must for labs, pugs, goldens, german shepherd, husky, eskies, shelties, etc. those big shedders. I bought a pump dispenser from a big box store (sold for dish soap) that works great for dispensing in the food bowl easily and without mess.

Not just for shedding. No more dandruff!
My father recommended this product to me for my dog's dry skin and dandruff, as he had used it on a dog he had back in the 80s with enormous success.I was a little concerned that this wouldn't be the right product since it said "Shed Relief" and my miniature poodle definitely doesn't have a shedding problem, but sure enough, the dandruff is gone and he's looking gorgeous! It only took about a week of adding it to his dinner to start seeing results. A month or so in (and not being super diligent in remembering to add it) and he looks like a whole new dog.
