Color:Floral Lily The Floral Lily urn is designed to help scatter cremated ashes in water or on land. It is a large 17" diameter artistic urn. The stunning 8" Burgundy Lily in the center placed on detailed floral paper with a Gold band of beads. It will float briefly, then sink gracefully and break down naturally over time. The bowl has a an additive to help it be buoyant on the water. Calm water will give maximum float time. Simply place a loved ones ashes in a biodegradable water soluble bag that is included. Then place the bag in the bowl. The bowl attaches to the bottom of The Floral Lily with biodegradable glue and clips. Remove the clips before burial. The bowl has a 5” flat base so the Shell can beautifully sit on display during a ceremony. Given its handcrafted nature, the urn may vary slightly in size, shape, and appearance from the image displayed. Includes urn, glue, clips, biodegradable bag, instructions. This urn is part of the Favorite Place burial series. Clay and Cotton based, Made in the USA.

Follow instructions to the letter and distribute weight evenly
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This was the PERFECT urn to fulfill my grandfather's wishes of a burial at sea. I followed the instructions to the letter (which is really easy) and couldn't have pictured a better way to let him go. You have to make sure you use all the glue provided and evenly distribute the weight of the ashes. We had the urn lowered into the water from the bow of the boat and it floated for a good 10-12 minutes before peacefully sinking under leaving just the wreath we placed on top floating in the water. Im so glad I found this. Im putting pictures with this review so you can see the process and the end result.

Beautiful Memorial
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. We had to order 3 of these for our family members and dogs who died in an accident- we got one The Lily, one Lily and Peace, and one Burgundy Lily (this one was more light green than yellow, as I'd expected by the picture, but still really pretty and not as green as The Lily). They were beautiful. Filling the inside bag with the ashes was a little bit tricky, but otherwise it worked out well. We put one person and one dog in two of them, then just the 3rd person alone in the 3rd one. We were worried that with the extra weight, they might sink like a rock, but they did not. The water had a little movement, and I think they would have floated longer if it were GLASS or completely still, but they still all floated a bit before sinking and or breaking apart as they were sinking. Here is a video of one of them (this was "Burgundy Lily") with the million sparkles on the water - it really was beautiful and peaceful way to do this.

Wonderful Urn.
I am BEYOND happy and impressed with this water urn. It was perfect and it floated for such a long time. I was really worried about it sinking right away so I’m leaving this review with some notes/tips in hopes I can help someone else.1. It’s VERY big. (Which is great, just keep that in mind for transport etc.) I ended up ordering it directly to my final location rather than trying to travel with it.2. For sealing it: they provide clips but if you can, I would recommend getting some XL paper clips in addition. I did NOT get these and I was able to seal the urn perfectly but extra clips couldn’t hurt.3. Having 1 or 2 people to assist you is a good idea but you CAN do it by yourself - it’ll just be harder…I did it by myself and the urn floated for a long time! Lining up the top/bottom is a little tricky. Both pieces (top and bottom) are not going to be perfect circles! Imagine two paper mache bowls. You have to line them up and glue them together to make a sphere.4. Leave at least 6 hours for the glue to dry! I had to put the urn together the morning of the ceremony (10/10 would not recommend this.. stress level = 100.) I mention this because I had no idea how long the glue would take to dry and I was panicked about it. I started it around 4am and I released it into the water around 8 hours later. It floated for 20/30 minutes.5. You are supplied with a biodegradable bag to put the ashes in. Please note: this is a translucent bag. I mention this for emotions sake.I left an air bubble when I tied the bag. I thought this would help it float plus make it easier to level out the ashes. They provide a string to close the bag but I didn’t realize this so I just knotted it.6. Glue: use it liberally! For about 30 minutes after I attached the clips, I consistently kept pinching the seam together and rubbing in the excess glue with my fingers - I ended up basically finger painting with the glue. Don’t worry, it easily washes off with soap&water. Get some paper towels or a towel because the glue is going to drip - but try to “save” and spread as much glue as you can! I put the TV on and just kept pinching the edges and smearing the glue along the seam.I then had to get ready for the day but I CONTINUOUSLY kept walking by and pinching at the seam. It’s definitely ideal to dedicate a night to this, where you can constantly&mindlessly pinch the seams together.7. I kept the clips attached until moments before I put the urn into the water.8. Before you release it: shake it! Make sure the weight of the ashes are evenly distributed inside the globe.Side note: I bought flowers for everyone to also throw into the water. It really added to the experience and seeing the urn + the flowers was a gorgeous sight to see.

It was perfect
This urn was very pretty and floated for a couple of minutes just as we had hoped. The funeral home took care of placing the ashes inside and glueing it shut so I can't speak to that part but seems they had no issue with cremains for a 160lb adult. The only note is that the funeral home advised that since the urn is biodegradable, it is important to take the remains out to sea within 2 weeks of placing them in the urn. I did not know that part so we had a bit of a scramble to get everything scheduled but it all turned out beautifully.

Sank
This urn did not float, it sank the second it touched the water and was a huge disappointment. My Grandmother was in there and the whole point of buying this urn was to watch it in the water and have a couple moments to let go as it slowly went under. We followed the instructions 100% and are absolutely devastated by this products ability to live up to it's promise. We should have just scattered the ashes and skipped this urn!

Worth it!
Perfect! Just what my father wanted. I can't tell you how amazing this urn was. It was absolutely the right choice. We chose this urn because we read about horror stories when scattering ashes and we didn't want to come in contact with them. The price was the same as most of the options at the mortuary. This urn float for just about 1 minute and then sank. We threw flowers and it was just beautiful. We took it to the mortuary and they had no problem following the directions. At first we worried about taking off the clips that hold the top in place but they are to set the glue and I had no problems carrying it. The top did not come off. When we were ready we just popped the clips off, the crew opened the entrance door and I layed on the deck to gently lay it on a wave. Beautiful experience!

Gorgeous urn!
This Lily at Peace urn is really beautiful. This is the way to go for scattering ashes in water. It’s a very peaceful and memorable way. We followed the instructions carefully for placing the ashes inside and prepared the urn the night before. We had a float time in excess of 15 minutes. Can’t recommend this item enough! We placed flowers on top of the urn and it was really stunning to have the flowers begin floating around the urn.

Even more beautiful than the picture
I ordered this for myself. When I opened it, it was a piece of art. Absolutely gorgeous. I have shown this piece off to many friends an family. My only concern, and I could be completely wrong - is the bowl in the middle big enough for all of the remains? I will have to ask an expert.
