Surprisingly fantastic! Wish they made one for 2000-piece puzzles
I love puzzles (generally 1000 to 2000-piece ones), and I have gone through a lot of configurations trying to find the perfect puzzle board - dining room tables, cardboard sewing/ craft boards, foam presentation boards, and most recently, a large sheet of plywood covered in felt. All of these methods had flaws so I decided to give this a try. I was skeptical - since the dimensions are very close to that of a finished 1500 piece puzzle, I wasn’t sure there would be enough room to have all the pieces laying out during the puzzling process. But WOW have I been pleasantly surprised!Pros:-I LOVE the moveable side panels - they make it way easier to reach pieces or to slide completed sections to the opposite end of the board. Complete game changer.-The fabric on this board is the perfect combination of grippy and slick - less grippy than felt but not as slick as wood. It holds the pieces in place when you move a side panel or bump the board, but it allows you to slide pieces across the surface when you want to do so.-There is plenty of room for a 1500-piece puzzle! Having the 2 side flaps plus 2 moveable side panels creates a lot more room than I expected.-It’s surprisingly sturdy - more so than cardboard or foamboard.-Despite its sturdiness, it’s lightweight enough that (unlike my plywood board) I can easily move it around the house by myself.-The thinness of the board, the way it folds up, the soft cover material, and the somewhat-grippy puzzle board fabric all combine to allow me to slide it under the guest bed when I need to move it out of the way temporarily, while still maintaining the then-current puzzle status.Cons:-It’s bigger than expected with the flaps folded out, so I wasn’t able to put it where I had originally intended. I ended up laying it on a rarely-used twin guest bed and it stretches the full length of the bed.-Despite the board being bigger than expected with the flaps out, the flaps can’t really be used for completed portions of the puzzle (due to the folds in the board), so the board as a whole will only fit a 1500-piece puzzle. I wish they sold one that fit a 2000-piece puzzle. All in all, despite this puzzle board’s limitation to 1500-piece puzzles, I would definitely recommend it!

Perfect for 1,000-1,500 Piece Puzzles – Easy to Move and Organize!
he Jumbo Puzzle Mates Portapuzzle is my favorite for 1,000-1,500 piece puzzles! It’s easy to move between puzzle sessions, and the two additional Velcro mats provide extra storage, making sorting and organizing pieces a breeze. This is especially helpful for keeping pieces safe—no more losing them to cat play! While I switch to a board with drawers for 2,000-piece puzzles, this one is perfect for mid-sized puzzles. I’ve even ordered multiple times as gifts because it’s such a great find. Highly recommend for any puzzle enthusiast!

Very large & sturdy
The 1500 piece size is very large and yet quite sturdy. I like the material it is made of too. The surface for puzzle and additional pads for pieces are excellent for holding pieces. Not slippery. The design of keeping a partial puzzle and then placing the 2 pads with pieces atop each other and the case closes over and is secure with sturdy velcro fastener is simple and ingenious. No paper, cardboard, wood. Portable. I purchased to protect my puzzle from our cats. The enclosure capability is the best solution. Lightweight and portable. Very pleased with my purchase. Excellent price too.

PERFECT! Doesn't slip and I carry it verticle!
I absolutely love my Portapuzzle!! There's only one reason I didn't give it 5 stars and that's because it doesn't have a handle. Surely they could figure out a way to put a handle on it. It would make it much easier to carry around. Still, that's minor compared to everything I love about it. It's very well made. The material seems high quality and thick, I don't think I'll ever wear it out. I was worried about the Velcro when I ordered it because Velcro can wear out pretty quick but I don't think this will be wearing out any time soon. It grabs and holds so that it sometimes takes a couple tugs to loosen it and it's a thick strip, again high quality. The material on the inside is equally well made and feels soft to the touch, I like the way it feels. I was worried it might be a cheap felt and I hate the feel of felt, but no worries there. This is almost like a suede or something. The color is perfect too, it makes the puzzle pieces easy to see. Some people mentioned a wrinkle in the material down the middle so I'll address that as well. It's not really a wrinkle, it's an indention from where the two separate boards meet and it's been stored like that with no puzzle in it. To prevent that, maybe they should store it with a thin piece of cardboard or something between the work area and the two separate boards that lay on top. But the puzzle does lay flat across it, it doesn't make any of the pieces protrude or anything. And the one thing that really had me and others worried when ordering it, it does keep the puzzle safe and secure inside while carrying it. I've heard conflicting reviews on this but I've had absolutely no trouble. I carried it around (vertically) when I had only the outline done and all throughout the process of putting the puzzle together, it didn't slip an inch! In fact, put the puzzle where you want it when you first begin because you're not going to be able to slide it around at all (I tried once, it won't budge). Now, I will say that when I first started putting the puzzle together and so had a lot of loose pieces on the two separate boards that come with it, they did slip a little bit when I carried it vertically, maybe an inch. They kind of bunched up a bit (not one on top of the other or anything but they did slide down). That wasn't as much of an issue as I had less pieces on those two boards. BUT, the puzzle itself didn't move a centimeter when carried around. Now, when I pick up the Portapuzzle, I don't just grab it and let it fall into a vertical position. I grab it at the top and bottom and gently lower it into a vertical position and then carry it by the top. I don't swing it around and bump it against things. Also, I suggest you don't grab it by the sides and carry it. I've found that causes it to bow a little bit and the loose puzzle pieces slide more when you do it that way. Grab it by the top and bottom. I use it on a 37" square table and the part of the Portapuzzle that you work on comes right to the sides of the table so that when I open it, I allow the two wings to hang down. That was something else I was worried about. I knew I didn't have a big enough table to put it on and use it with the wings out flat and I was worried I might eventually crack it or wear it out if I constantly allowed those wings to hang down but, again, my fears were needless. It's material there (thick material like a canvas) and you can position the wings up, to the sides, flat, or down without worrying about wearing them out. The working part and the wings are nice and stiff but they do have a little give to them so you'd probably have trouble just sitting this on your lap, it would bow a little. It would be too big anyway. You need to work on something flat. All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by the Portapuzzle and won't hesitate to order one for a friend. I'm thrilled I didn't spend $129 on a Jigsort which I was seriously considering. No, the Portapuzzle is half the price and is high quality and does an excellent job holding the puzzle secure. Don't hesitate to order this!!

Portable
Works great! Can put it away and then go back to it later. Limited space in our home for leaving a puzzle out.

Works great. Best puzzle storage board I've ever used
When you velcro it all up it holds all the pieces in tightly with the fold up edges. So provides the safe container for a puzzle in flight that I am forced to move out of the way just as I needed. The included mats grip the pieces well. Overall a great buy. I've done four 1000 piece puzzles on it and one was very tight to the edge of the puzzle area. But most had plenty of room. About the only downside is that being a lighter color and grippy material, it is a visible dust and hair magnet.
