This seems to be a great product, but has some drawbacks to be remedied. Firstly, UV light is harmful to human skin and to the eyes, so direct exposure is inadvisable. (My other UV sanitizing devices, a wand and a toothbrush case, are equipped with safety features to prevent exposure.) I had thought that I would simply attach this device to an extension cord that I could plug in from a safe distance, but the device is actually turned on by means of a button (like that on a handheld flashlight) and plugs in only for the battery recharge, so close proximity to the device is unavoidable, excepting that it turns itself off after 15 minutes of use. To get around exposure when turning it on, I plan to install it in a box with the light inside and the control button outside. Because I really just want to use it to sanitize cell phones and other small things, this will work, but, if you want it to sanitize a larger space, you may wish to look further. At the least, UV goggles to protect the eyes from the unshielded device are necessary.

It does seem to work, and the convenience of the size and battery operation is definitely a plus. The only thing I really would have loved to see would have been the fifteen second delay that every other model on the market has. I don't want to return it because it is pretty nice to have, but the lack of an activation delay means I now have to get UV goggles to feel like I'm not damaging my eyes.

Killed so much bacteria that it actually became visible. All kinds of stuff I thought was cleaned showed up with dead black stuff on it to wash off. Stuff that would have just been existing there, alive, this whole time.It really works and I can't believe it!

Really well built sanitizer. A lot better than the wand that I have. Everything works perfectly as described!
