I bought one of these just after Christmas because I have a lot of pencils and wanted to store them in less folders. It's quite big so I cannot store it in a drawer and despite the fact that it comes with a shoulder strap I am not sure I would want to take it out for casual sketching since it’s no lightweight full of pencils, but I wanted somewhere to store half my pencil collection and it does that so what are the pluses and minuses.On the plus side it was a good price, arrived quickly and is well made and both the zip and handle seems sturdy enough, the case holds 184 of my pencils (I have Polychromos, Luminance, Prisma Premier, Derwent and Verithins, Van Gogh etc) or if you prefer You could store gel pens, clutch pencils, tortillions, colour markers etc plus there is plenty of space for a sketch pad, eraser and some accessories. The elastics that hold the pens appear to be strong enough and take my fatter pencils but some of my thinner pencils seem quite loose so I wonder if they will remain secure as time passes. Update solved that by buying one just for my Prisma Collection as its only after you put fatter pencils into the elastics that a problem could eventually develop.The fact that you can just flip the pencils to get to the next sleeve is both a plus and a minus, on the plus side it makes it really easy to access everything and the fact that the sleeves are removable means you can take them out of the case and spread them about on a desk while you work, but the downside is that when they are stored in the case it's really easy for one sleeve of pencils to fall down onto the next which risks damaging your pencils so I put a sheet of foam between each sleeve to prevent that from happening, there is plenty of room n the closed case to let you do that.Another plus is you can now get different colours so you can use colours to identify different collections; I have three and am about to buy number 4, so I know at a glance what’s where reducing time wasted searching for things.Ok fully populated each case is quite bulky, but it stands on the floor, on a desk or shelf or in my case lies on the back of a chair which really suits me when I am working though that might bother some people.When all is said and done it's a decent, strong pencil case, offered for a reasonable price with a gigantic capacity of pencils so if like me you have stacks of pencils then this is a great solution.
