Military Grade Cook Set
As a US Navy Special Operations (EOD) Officer I use this cook set which has functioned well in numerous environments. Its military grade tough! I prefer it over our military issued cook set. Its lighter and more durable. I red a previous review calling it a safety hazard. I have to disagree. The instructions that come with it are crystal clear (with diagrams no less), do not increase the flame under the cooking cup to go over the sides. I believe this is the error the previous reviewer's son made. As an EOD (Bomb Disposal) Officer I see a lot of burned rubber and silicon and the tell tale giveaway is the material is charred black when burned, I do not see the silicon ring charred in the photos that reviewer provided. So its clear the user increased the flame to exceed the sides of the cup heating the ring which then slid down the sides of the cup. The silicon ring is a great addition as it allows you to handle the cup while still hot. So if you follow the directions provided this error will not happen. In the Navy we call such mistakes: "Operator Error." I HIGHLY recommend this MSR product!

Served its purpose. Lightweight. Boiled water and packaged nicely.
It worked exactly as I had hoped. It took me a couple times to figure out how the tines folded down to compact. But, I’m that person that forgot to take the plastic cup off of the bottom. Early morning and it is difficult to see as it is clear and blends in with the cooking pot. I feel that it should have some type of distinguishing mark so you can see it is still attached. ie. Colored stripe, engraved or some type of ribbed grip. I only carried that cup so my cook pot had to serve as dual purpose. And that stunk. I was able to put lighter, seasoning, dish soap and small sponge inside the pot.

Light, cheap, gets the job done.
Took it camping and people were impressed with how compact it was. Great for solo backpacking, easy to clean and dirt cheap. Just add some propane and the stove and you're done. Probably need something a bit more heavy duty if you're a few people as the capacity is limited.

Perfect for solo camping
Just enough room inside to nest a small 110g ISOPRO fuel can, the (included) pot holder grips, a mini-Bic and a small canister stove. Shown with MSR PocketRocket Deluxe.

Light compact easy to use
Exactly what I wanted. One man compact, light cooking pot. Use with a mini msi stove and it heats up just the right amount of water to fix 2 cups of coffee or water for dehy meals. In field it was slower to boil than a jet boil but not by much. It was however much smaller and lighter. I’m not a featherlight backpacker but why take weight you don’t need.

Pro Tip: Compatible w/ MSR 1 Liter Windburner Coffee Press
Looking for a light weight do all cook pot, look no further. This cook pot can truly do it all when you pair it with a MSR 1 Liter Windburner Coffee Press. Just pop the rubber knob out of the lid to use the lid with the coffee press.
