Update: Looks like the most recent android auto update as of 7/13/24 has fixed the connectivity issues and the dongle is working great again! Update: I was so happy with this until hot weather arrived, now that it's regularly 80 to 90+ outside and 90 to 100+ in the car, The dongle has become entirely unreliable and rarely Auto connects, requiring me to unplug and replug it several times every time I get in the car. I tried to contact the manufacturer but can't find a way to reach them. 😭 I was skeptical about this but finally bought one and wish I would have done so months ago. The wireless link connects faster than I can plug my phone in, and it has been 100% reliable so far. Added perk, I now charge my phone via an anker USB-c smart charger, so it charges twice as fast as it did using the OEM android auto plug. Definitely worth the $

I have been using this almost daily for 5 months now and it works perfectly. It is so much better than having to deal with the cables. My car does not support wireless Android Auto but this works and I do not notice any additional lag or other issues. It functions exactly the same as if I had my phone plugged in. I have been using with the Z Fold 4. Setup is also very easy. Plug it in and connect to it. From then on it will connect automatically when you get in the car. It takes maybe an additional 15 to 20 seconds to connect over the cable, but I always had issues with the cable deciding not to connect sometimes or dropping the connection. I had tried multiple cables and both ports in my car. I have not had those issues with the wireless adapter.

For context I had initially purchased the much-reviewed aawireless dongle and it stopped working for me with no path for support. I returned and got this one, setup was a breeze and it has worked as expected with absolutely no disconnections - amazing! If I'm getting in my car, by the time I get in the driver's seat and hit the start button, it's up & running. The reason I went 4* instead of 5* is that everytime I am near my car (yet not traveling) it connects after a few moments and I lose my call or listening audio (this is likely not an issue with vehicles without a fob). I have to disconnect from the Android Auto notification and then get far away before it reconnects in about 10 to 30 seconds. So impossible to be outside with my fob on me and listen to a podcast. Still seeking a solution, will update if I find one. If you need a wireless Android auto dongle, this one may be your best bet!

I went into this a skeptic with low expectations, but I'm pleased to report that I've had this for a few weeks now and I am very impressed! Purchased this for my Android (S23+) and 2024 Kia Seltos SX. I've been having issues with my USB connection being unstable and disconnecting if I so much as breathe on my phone. The biggest problem was that it was causing my Android Auto map directions to disconnect, which was a huge distraction if I was relying on them to get where I needed to be! I've replaced cables and adapters, but continued to have the same issue. Thought I'd give this a try as a last resort before dealing with the customer support runaround, and behold - this little gadget did the trick!! Incredibly easy to set up - no apps to install, just plug and play (connect to Bluetooth, that's it). It's worked flawlessly since I've set it up, and now I can charge and move my phone without any disruptions to the Android Auto connection. I wish I'd have tried this first! SUPER happy with this purchase, and highly recommended if you're having trouble with an unstable USB connection. Update Jan 2025: I purchased this and have used it consistently since Oct 2023, and I can happily say that it still works perfectly. I've had no issues whatsoever.

I was surprised at how well this device worked. It is very much plug and play. I had no trouble setting it up in my 2018 Mustang. There is a marginal lag between button presses on the screen and a reaction, but it was never anything that I found annoying. It uses bluetooth to get set up, however, it uses wifi for all other data transmission and as a result, I found my phone got rather hot and even went in to overheat mode a couple of times. This also impacted my ability to connect to my dashcam. Given all of this, I ended up going back to the normal wired setup for AA.

I love this product and it was exactly what I needed. My Android Auto requires me to have my phone charging for the navigation system to work. This product works via Bluetooth and it frees up my phone. I have had zero issues with it in fact I was having issues when my phone was charging, navigation kept going on and off, problem solved with this item. Highly, highly recommend.

I plugged the product in and followed the simple instructions and I was off and running. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get into Android Auto but my head unit was always finicky. Almost no lag! Apple music lossless sounds great. I regret not buying this sooner! EDIT: My head unit keeps supplying power to the usb plug even after my car is turned off and there is now way to turn off this feature like I can in my other vehicle. This can cause complications if I get close to my garage and my phone tries to connect to it so I just unplug it if I am getting home.

This product makes android auto actually work. I used to use a direct USB connection and the frequent disconnections made it unbearable. Using this Bluetooth connector, disconnections are rare and it fights through poor data connection to keep running. Feels great just getting in the car starting it up and everything turns on automatically without having to fiddle with it. There are sometimes where it doesn't connect or glitches out upon starting up your vehicle. Unfortunately there's no way to reconnect without turning off your car and turning back on again (at least in my case SONY XAV-AX8100) so 4 stars for that
