Princella Cut Yams, 40 Oz

Too fiberous

I am sorry to say this but whatever we can describe them to be simply not are not acceptable for Christmas. Granted we are old school but so too we are used to large lumps of yellow yams and or sweet potatoes that we can serve at Christmas dinner. Instead we ended up with sweet potato must I suspect that might be good to make a sweet potato pie but if we want to make large sweet potatoes with marshmallows Etc these will never do.And so my precaution is a Caveat Emptor, or buyer beware, no I would look elsewhere if you want something other than sweet potato pie these are not going to fit the bill.Ok

I have purchased Princella brand sweet potatoes/yams for years because I could always count on their quality.Not any more.There were stringy, cotton-like sweet potato "threads" all through the can. I tried chewing them with the sweet potatoes but that didn't work because the threads were left after the sweet potato was chewed and swallowed.It was like trying to eat a washcloth. It made me gag.I am really disappointed.I don't think I will purchase them again.

I have also used Princella canned sweet potatoes for many years because of their continuous good quality. However, last year I was very disappointed when I found them to be mushy.This year I decided to give them one more try. It will definitely be my last!! Both cans were nothing but mush. Ruined my candied yams & my faith in Princella!!I'll definitely be trying a new brand next year.
