Must have stencilling book!
I’ve been on a couple of Nicolette’s practical stencilling courses which are great! The book is an extension of these and shows Nicolettes passion and experience in the industry. At first the idea of stencilling was dated to me until I met Nicolette. She has successfully taken stencilling out of the 80’s and added a contemporary twist. I think her restored stencilled furniture is particularly successful. I really enjoy the process of shabby chic’ing and stencilling and find the process very forgiving. Nicolettes book is inspiring and helps build confidence for people just to ‘have a go’ and you will be really pleased with the results! The process of stencilling is not time consuming either, so as a working mother of three I have managed to restore and stencil several pieces of furniture. A great book!

A brilliantly inspiring book with so many different stylish applications for stencils. The instructions are very clear with all those invaluable tips that someone who regularly stencils is able to pass on, and I love the fact that there are some actual stencils included in the back. I can't wait to start on my first project!

Stencilling made easy
I attended a book signing and demonstration given by Nicolette Tabram of this lovely book. She showed us most of the projects detailed in the book and demonstrated some of the techniques used. Nicolette made them look easy and achievable.I bought a copy of the book, which includes several of her unique stencils, plus templates of the stencils used on the projects which can be made at home. The instructions are clear and concise and I have been inspired to take on more than one of these projects myself, particularly the bed linen and curtains. The relief stencilling was amazing and I shall definitely have a go at this. I am fairly new to these techniques and would thoroughly recommend this book for beginners like myself.

Beautiful but stencils not reusable
The stencils (and patterns to be made into stencils) are beautiful and well designed. Lovely ideas of projects but having had a first very careful try of one the include stencils it is no longer useable. Its too flimsy with insufficient coating to stop anything going underneath the coating and destroying the card beneath. Don’t even think about trying to clean them.A basic instruction booklet plus some more robust stencils (in these designs) would have been better for me.
