In 1933, Timex produced the very first Mickey Mouse Clocks and watches, under an exclusive license from Walt Disney. Within just a few years, the company sold two million of these watches. In the 1950s came the introduction of the world's first inexpensive but reliable watch. Torture-test advertising campaigns promoted Timex watches with the tag-line: "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking."Ever since watches moved from the pocket to the wrist, Timex has defined how the world tells time. For over 150 years, Timex has led the way providing affordable cutting-edge technology in trendsetting styles. For Timex, time began in 1854. Over the many years that followed, through wartime and peacetime, Timex watches have kept more than time: they've kept a promise of undaunted innovation.Brand HistoryIn 1986 Timex introduced the "Ironman Triathlon watch" that revolutionised sports timing with features and durability that were an instant hit with the dedicated athletes that inspired it. One of the most important ever introductions by Timex watches is the Indiglo backlight system. Invented by Timex in 1992, the Indiglo lamp uniformly lights the watch dial with a blue backlight, using Timex's unique leading electroluminescent technology.Modern Day: Timex remain one of the only watchmakers in the world to manufacture all of their own movements. Timex Originals: paying homage to over 150 years of Timex heritage, the Timex Originals collection is inspired by vintage designs through-out the decades, brought up-to-date with a modern twist. Timex is proud to be the official timing sponsor of some of the greatest marathons in the world--New York, London and Berlin. In 2011, Timex introduced the Timex Intelligence Quartz collection. Based on state of the art technology that is an open-ended platform with the flexibility to incorporate new technologies, new functions and new ideas as they become available, Intelligence Quartz is a design and technology platform targeted primarily to the male consumer seeking a sophisticated yet technology driven timepiece. Awesome watch
I bought this watch for the vibrating alarms and the large face. I need to take tablets at certain times so having the three alarms is very useful for me without having to alert everyone else. If you don't switch off alarm then it goes off again 5 minutes later (very useful). Having such a large display I can read it without wearing my glasses. The "Indiglo" button enables me to see the display in the dark. It lights up the digits rather than the whole display which I find very easy to read during night. I like the fact I can hide any features I don't use such as chronograph function.I could not set the hourly chime to vibrate only to beeps so I set the Hydration alarm to vibrate every 30 minutes. Bear in mind the more that the vibrating alarm is used, will shorten the battery life. Hopefully the battery will not be too difficult to replace. The only issue I had was there are no instructions how to set the watch to vibrate, which is mention in other reviews. I found working it out a challenge thankfully the other reviews pointed me in the right direction. You can't do it from the set-alarm function. In the set time mode press mode till it displays "ALRT" then press + or - to change to VIBE (vibrate) or COMBO (vibrate and beeps) or Tone (beeps) which is the default, press Set (done) to exit.If you set the Beep to on then it will beep every time you press a button. I done this accidently.I recommend this watch highly, The different modes are awesome - : a stop watch, countdown timer, 3 alarms, anniversary reminder etc

Excellent
This is a great watch for the money. It's packed with features, is comfortable to wear, isn't too big and looks good too.The bezel is much darker than it appears in the photo which is far nicer in my opinion. The strap should fit even the smallest wrist and doesn't overlap the front of the watch or stick out to the side when it's on the thinnest setting. It is signed with the Expedition logo at both ends and also on the clasp.Time-keeping is superb. It has gained 1 second in the last three weeks. Some nice features:-You can set the date to be either dd/mm or mm/dd i.e. British or American. When you change to another mode for a short period of time, pressing the Mode button again takes you straight back to the time mode. This saves having to scroll through all the other modes to get back to the time and is generally what you want to do when you've finished with the particular mode you were using. The Chronograph only shows the digits that it has to. When you start it, it will initially only show the hundreths of a second, then the seconds appear, then the minutes etc. When it reaches an hour the hundreths are replaced by seconds and you can no longer time to the nearest hundreth of a second but it does mean that the chrongraph will run for a long time period. I don't have the manual in front of me so I can't say for sure how long it runs but there's no reason that it shouldn't run until 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. The Countdown Timer can be set for any time between 1 second and 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. It can be set to stop at the end of each countdown or repeat indefinitely. It has several Alarm features. You can set a Hydration alarm that will sound after a set interval to remind you to take a drink (this is just the same as putting the countdown timer on repeat). It has an Occasions alarm that will remind you of a wide range of crucial things like birthdays, doctor's appointments etc. Obviously you are able to select which day of the year you want this to pop-up on. It also has three normal alarms which can be set to Daily, Weekday or Weekends. It has a second Time Zone feature that allows you to briefly view another time zone at the press of a button. It only shows for about a second and then reverts back to the original time zone. The indiglo is of course excellent, very bright and illuminates the digits only. The vibration alarm can be set to vibrate only, vibrate for a bit and then beep as well or beep only. Whatever you select also determines how the countdown alarm behaves. The vibration alone has woken me up the couple of times I've set it.I think that covers all the good bits and I have only one niggle:-The chronograph buttons don't operate like any other watches I've ever owned and they take a bit of getting used to. The Start button is not also the Stop button. This is pretty confusing and like I said is against the normal convention of having the same button for both Start and Stop. Timex must have realised this because the Stop button is also the Reset button but you have to hold it down for a couple of seconds before it will reset back to zero. The Start button is also the Lap button in case you're wondering, so you can't really reset the chronograph back to zero by mistake but you can very easily end up with some extra laps when you're trying to stop the chronograph whilst waiting to cross at the traffic-lights.Overall though, a great watch that is jam-packed with useful features, keeps fabulous time and is very good value for money.

One to Watch! Nothing But Good Vibes!
The vibration is a little on the weak side but surprisingly effective waking me up! When I felt the vibration for the 1st time I was a little concerned that it would be too weak to wake me up. It's Perfect! Woke me up with ease and that was good enough for me! I have a shakey wake alarm clock that vibrates a little too strong and sometimes woke up with my heart in my mouth until I used it under my pillow. This watch though is the ideal wake up alarm and although I use the timer a lot cooking, it's Perfect for meditation when I use soundproof earplugs.

Great watch, great vibration alarm.
This is a great watch! It's cheap, the strap is synthetic and so is unlikely to start getting funky, the interface is fairly intuitive and the light is extremely good at night. The best thing, however, is the vibration alarm. I bought the watch for this feature as I work shifts and often have early starts, something that would wake my other half with an audible alarm. The vibration is strong enough to wake me without fail, but isn't noisy enough to wake her.Definitely recommended!

great for indoors and outdoors activities
This is the third Timex I own, and I absolutely love it.I wanted a military-style watch with a large display and easily legible when I'm cycling or running, and it is works very well for that purpose.Other things of note: very sturdy and solidly built, Indiglo is very handy, the alarms are very useful. The only downside to it is that the compass points markings on the side are pure decoration, it has no compass. Nevertheless, very nice watch.

Montre alarme vibrante TIMEX

vibrate alarm works well
3 alarms which works independently and well - discreet so cannot be heard on vibrate, but you can feel them. otherwise feels like a pretty sturdy and comfortable watch, good quality buttons and big display. great for the price, way better value for money than a g-shock.

Sehr gute Wahl bz. Bedienung, Ablesbarkeit etc.
