Not as useful as I thought
This was abit of nightmare for me to assemble I was ready to chuck it outOnce together let’s just say my clever puppy can still get up the stairs by going underneath it or now she just simple pops a paw on the mesh and over she goes so if your thinking of buying this to stop a puppy get up your stairs don’t bother

Does not impede you when open
Looks good and works well. Rather than having to step through a limited gap or standing on the bar on the floor of other designs. It retracts right back out of the way.Relatively easy to fit just need to make sure the hooks it clips into are aligned correctly as our house is nearly 100 years the walls are not true and needed a bit of packing out to straighten them up and vertical in line with the roller
