This pair was the best gift for my son on his birthday as he had a matching one to give his buddy. These fit my 12 year old and have been durable and easy for him to use. All the tools seem to work as they should.

I bought these for my fiance and myself. We have been doing a lot of off trail hiking and it was a concern of mine that neither of us had compasses.I know its kind of silly but rather than buy a couple of real compasses, I figured I'd get something like this that does provide some other potentially useful features instead.That said the Whistle, fire starter, light, and 10 feet of usable para-cord seemed like a great addition. The other features such as the multi-tool seemed like a complete gimmick and proved to be so in the long run.These arrived and I was somewhat excited to slap them on the pack (we never planned to wear these). When I pulled the first one out for inspection I was glad to find that everything was pretty much exactly what I expected. Cheap, somewhat useful, and a potential big help out in the wilderness in a survival situation.I then pulled the second one and and sat them next to each other to see how true the compasses were. The picture is above, you be the judge. Now I have lived in this house for a while and I know without a doubt which direction is north. Let me tell you, not only are these not facing north they aren't even wrong together.This was a big disappointment, but for the price the fire starter and para-cord are worth keeping around.Now comes the twist ending:I was thinking that maybe the multi-tool that sits directly under the compass and is made of some cheap STEEL might be a factor. I removed the multi-tool from both and to my amazement both compasses spun to true immediately.To sum it up, my complaints were in a way voided. However, its a poor design that was not fully thought through. The good news is the multi-tool is a useless tiny little piece of metal. Trash it and you will have working compass and a few other features to boot.

Initially things work as they are supposed to. I had these for just a week and gave them out as prizes, so I didn't get to try them in all situations. The led light works as advertised easy to operate. The buckle clips and unclips as it should and the adjustability is a great feature. The compass seems to work, you just have to be smart about compass use and remove the metal tools from inside the clip and hold the compass level so that it is free floating for accuracy. If you have access to better more convenient tools, that is one thing, but if you are stuck and this is what you have, I'm sure you would really appreciate having something with you. This definitely should be part of your hiking/camping/boating/hunting/survival gear, especially if you are only going to carry light and this is it.

The striker sucks throws small sparks barely, and the Compass is not the best either it works ok. The little tools are hard to get out and are not awesome. The flashlight isn’t the brightest but you still get nice cordage.

Nice paracord bracelet. A bit bulky but I like its functionality. Offers more features such as a whistle and an LED light (with different modes). One of the 2 that I received started to unravel in the first 24 hours that I started wearing it but a dab of Crazy Glue fixed that problem. I told the company about the problem and they sent me another one on the house! Great customer service. I recommend that you get a small cable tie (ziptie) and loop it around the the edge of the bracelet and then hook it through the knot that cinches the bracelet tight to keep it out of the way because it does stick out and it will get caught on something. Recommended

Bought this for the compass and LED. I was disappointed at first because the compass seemed like it was inaccurate and one of the LED didn't work. I contacted the seller and he was very helpful. All you have to do to make the compass work is to remove the metals below it. Also, seller sent me an LED replacement that I just easily switched with the defective one. It works like a charm now. I like the color too and the size is easily adjustable.
