I've gone through a bunch of multi-effect processors over the years and I've got to say, the GE 1000 is the easiest to use and the best sounding device I've come across. I was up and running in minutes. Even the system settings menu is very user friendly. It's solidly built and you can actually read the display. I saved a bunch on Prime Day, but even at the regular price, this pedal is well worth the expense.

This GE1000 unit packs a lot of sound and potential into one box. Much of the included preset sounds are good and very playable. There about 35 base sounds plus variations off of those. Plus the unit offers the ability to customize the sounds and to change the digital pedals and pedal order. As a guitar hobbyist I found it to be quite fun to use and play with.The negatives is that the unit does not pack much memory. So the ability to add effects and modify is quite limited. Many of the presets are near the memory limit. Then there is a learning curve to get proficient and comfortable with using the unit. I think I had come great sounds. However, for me I do not see it replacing the individual pedals that I have. But it could be a great, portable unit for small gigs and practice.Lastly, the price point doesn’t provide the value I would hope for.

This is garbage does not stand up. Bought in March died in June.Do not buy.

I wanted a really compact pedal board to try out various sounds from my guitar and the Mooer GE1000 is the platform for me. It allows me to set up combinations of pedals and amplifiers which can be switched in groups quickly for use as parts of songs. I'm rearranging the presets now, something other similar units don't allow, since I'm not interested in the overdriven noise many consist of and renaming them to emphasize their usage. And it was inexpensive!

I give this two stars only. Here is why:THE GOOD:- Amp, cab, and effects tones are generally good with decent tonal clarity and accuracy.- Factory presets provide a great starting point and give all the basic tones needed for playing most styles.- The Editor app and the touch-screen UI are very easy to use and intuitive.- The unit seems physically well made and high quality with a machined aluminium case.THE BAD:- This unit, for what's included, lacks processing power. It needs at least 2x the CPU/DSP. With signal chains only 2/3 utilized I am just over 90% utilization. This will be difficult for making long-tail ambient reverb sounds with.- Firmware needs work. Whether it's the PC driver or the floor unit I'm not sure, but there's some digital "fizz" and glitching at times which will be unacceptable if playing live or attempting to record, while the unit is over USB and also being used as the computer's audio interface.- There's only ONE signal chain / path. You can not split your chain and have parallel signal paths, only one effect in series after another. While this resembles a traditional guitar -> pedals -> amp type of setup which all non-techy users will appreciate, it makes the tonal options very limited. For example you cannot have two guitar amp and speaker cabinets in parallel and mixed. You can't mix multiple different cabinets together. You're stuck with one cabinet and one amp at a time (though you CAN put more in SERIES if processing allows). This makes some specific blended tones which are often required for accurate live reproduction of worship or rock music impossible.THE UGLY:- The expression pedal while physically well built, does NOT work well AT ALL in the firmware. The response is painfully slow/lags and the mapping and real-time adjusting of parameters is NOT smooth, but very glitchy. This renders the expression pedal practically useless for anything other than using as a on/off footswitch to mute your signal (not needed because the tuner function will do that).- The expression pedal toe-down switch is really bad. It requires FAR TOO MUCH pressure to activate it. Maybe I'm missing something on how it's supposed to be used but I tried re-calibrating and that did not help.- External MIDI CC control is very simplistic and high-definition CCs (0-1024 verses 0-127 value ranges) are not supported which means using external foot controller expression pedals for accurate pitch or volume is not going to work well at all.This unit is way overpriced considering the flaws and limitations and brand reputation (MOOER is meant to be CHEAP but FUNCTIONAL, remember?). If it were $200, then I'd be more accepting of the limitations.I may send this back and try the HOTONE Ampero Stage II instead. While it doesn't have the expression pedal built in I think overall based on Youtube reviews it's a superior product with more processing power and I/O options for only $100 more.

Good for the money.

I did not experience the lag issues that some people have mentioned in reviews here. I find applying a single effect easy to do, and chaining them on the active "pedal" is just fine. But I do not think it is simple to chain the effects and assign the chain to a switch. The user manual just labels the buttons, and the official tutorial shows what can be done, but not really how. Nevertheless, I am having a lot of fun with the pedal and have no doubt I'll eventually figure out assigning buttons to the chains of effects.

I don't use the Mooer GE1000 for studio purposes or for recording. I use it strictly as a virtual pedalboard, and it does a nice job of giving me a lot of useful sounds. I'm a fan of Mooer products, but they've never been known for detailed instructions. The downloadable 70 plus page GE1000 instructions are an exception and I found them helpful in getting up and going. I've always been more of a physical pedalboard player, finding multi-effects units difficult and confusing. I have no issues using this unit. It's easy to select the pedals you want, adjust the parameters, drag to the order you want them in, and save them to the desired bank. When you name or rename the file, a mini keyboard pops up. Sure beats the heck out of scrolling through the alphabet and entering one letter at a time.The large screen is bright, colorful, and crystal clear, just like a phone. I'm not crazy about a lot of the presets. I play mostly clean or with a small to moderate amount of dirt and there are way to many high gain and metal patches for my liking. It would be great if it offered more classic rock patches to emulate Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. I've tried to replicate the sound of my Vox AC15 for that classic British Invasion sound and I can't quite get there. Maybe in the same ballpark. On the other hand, there are a few useful ones for my style of play. I've saved them into my own banks so they're all bunched together for quick switching. There are pedals that have caught my attention that I'll likely never buy. I may just want it for a song or two, and the GE1000 gives me an idea of how that pedal would sound and fit into my playing. As for exceeding the limit of DSP resources, I've yet to experience it.I love the portability and I would love to see a padded carrying bag or case available. This is a newer product and I imagine it will come in due time. I did run the firmware update after first trying it out and the process went smoothly. This isn't my first multi-effects unit. Discounting the ancient Zoom and Digitech models that I've mothballed, I have a Hotone Ampero One and a Flamma FX150. For pedalboard type use, I do like the GE1000 better because of the user friendlier interface. The others may be better for recording. I can't say since that's not my primary purpose.I can see myself playing and tinkering with this unit for quite some time. If you want to free up space and replace a clunky pedalboard, the GE1000 is worthy of consideration. It's fun and super easy to use. If you're looking for an exact replication of a certain pedal, you'll need to spend more.
