Not at all what you would think.
It didn't come with the charger that was a bummer. The (steamer) is just a mist. The silicone lid for the liquid doesn't seal properly liquid spills out of it. Once you get past that the furr doesn't collect on the brush like you would think it just pushes the furr around.

Does the grooming job, but a little messy.
Firstly, it does not ship with a USB recharge cord. I know, I have one laying around here that will fit, but another similar brush did ship with a power cord (sans the plug in adapter of course). My cats don't mind this, so that's good, but they like to be combed thru with anything. You can use it with or without the steam. I can see that the steam prevents flyaway hairs, that's good, but it also dampens the hairs, so I find loose hairs stick to my fingers more when I am cleaning the bristles. Some fine hairs are left on the rubber as well, but I guess this happens on all brushes. I also found that it drip leaked a little. The trouble I have found with all these types of brushed is that you can not completely remove all of the water when done, so the inside chamber remains wet, so I am wondering if this is an opportunity for mold to form? (I haven't had it long enough to find out!)Even though it is pretty obvious how to use this brush, it comes with no instructions included. The on/off button light is very hard to see as it is lit up under the dense opaque plastic, in my case the green cover. I can not see the illumination in daylight or room light conditions, unless I cup it in my hand creating a dark space, then I look and see it.

Steam brush
So I got this steam brush for my golden retriever, as there is a golden pictured in the product images. I think it is better suited for cats because my golden’s fur is a bit too long for it to be totally effective. That being said, the brush is easy to use and does what it is supposed to. There’s a reservoir that you fill with water and a button you turn on to activate the steam function. The brush is soft but sturdy silicone to help pick up fur gently without hurting your beloved fur baby. The steam function does a good job of keeping fur from flying everywhere and instead kind of packs the fur into fur pancakes that you can pull off the brush. It is ergonomic and fits easily in the palm of your hand. My golden seemed to enjoy being brushed. Like I said, I think this would work fabulous for cats or short haired dogs (like Labrador retrievers) but it just wasn’t quite effective on my golden’s thick voluptuous mane.

My cat loves it.
It’s like a spa treatment for your pet. And removes hair and easy to clean up hair so now it’s not on my furniture.

Broke quickly
The power button broke on the second use, but while it was working, it got a lot of hair and my cat liked it.

Dog loves it!
I have a lab Akita mix and she has a lot of hair. When I used the steam on her she just relaxed. She looked like she was in a doggy spa that is how much she enjoyed it
