Worth a gander
As a fan of the WWF/WWE going on sixteen years now, I found this book to be extremely informative and intriguing. It gives a great history lesson on the roots of the WWE title, and great stories told by past champions themselves. Though the quotes from past champions are small. Most of the book is told by Kevin Sullivan. Which I thought did a nice job of talking about the WWE title. There isn't a ton of information, but its a page turner. And when I was done reading it, I just wanted more. They go through every champion since its inception in May 17, 1963. Think about that...the WWE title is almost fifty years old! All in all I thought this was a great book for the price I paid for it. Which wasn't very much. Thank you Amazon! Buy this book if its really cheap.

Rich History comes up broke
This is a very quick, simple read. It starts off very promising, with some context around territories and the early champions--even going over some of the real word politics that helped decide certain champions. Then that interesting and inspired angle soon gets dropped for rushing through kayfabe storylines during the modern belt-carousel years. In the end, it reads more like a glorified kid's book, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it didn't really scratch the informational itch like I thought it would.

A Must Own
Each year, the WWE puts out a handful of items that true fans must have ... this is one of those items. I received it in the mail a few days ago and read it cover to cover in just two days (and I'm starting it again tonight ... not joking). It's a very easy read and manages to take the reader through the entire history of the WWE. In fact, the book actually starts a few years before there ever was a WWE. It talks all about how Buddy Rogers' NWA title win in the early 1960s helped form WWE. That part was a lot of fun because you rarely get that type of history from a WWE product.Another fun part was Sgt. Slaughter talking about how his life changed for the negative after he won the gold. There's a lot of good stories like that in there.

Book arrived in worse condition then specified. It was like $17 or whatever so I decided to keep. I’m happy with it

A must have
A must have for the McMahon groupies. Really enjoyed the read and have given it as a gift to a true wrestling fan. Would have given 6 stars if it had an attached DVD of some of the more memorable matches.

Not what I expected
I thought the book would be like another pro wrestling belt book I ordered. Sadly it was not.

Seems a bit 1990's biased
i will admit i have not yet finished reading it, however i got about 40 pages in, and i'm already at Hulk Hogans 1st reign as champion. Only 40 pages for the first 30 years? I'm having a hard time getting motivated to read the rest of it.

Good book for any big fan
Very good and informative book. Got this book very quickly as well. Next day delivery. Intended for an adult audience as it is not colourful and strictly relies on the reader to imagine and learn about the history of each of the champions.
