Is what you'd expect yesteryear in terms of quality.

Easy to make a door or gate.I made a door. All parts easy to identify and constructa gate or door.

Out of the box, hardware seemed a little flimsy. But after assembly was much stronger then expected. Customer was happy with the end product!

Now I know the pictures make it look very straight forward, and maybe it is just user error, but directions would have been nice. I need to build a gate for my front arbor and this kit seemed promising. Again. it could be user error, but I was having trouble figuring out how to attach this kit to wood and also hanging the gate on the 4x4's. So, directions would have come in handy to show what steps to do first. It took me 2.5 hours to hang the gate alone, by myself.

I have used other kits in the past, and they were 5 stars. But this kit not so much on quality is what you get. However, it comes with everything you need to make a gate just not too much quality.

Nice thick hardware and that does a great job keeping all corners at 90 degrees and takes most of the guess work out of assembling your homemade gate. The kit also comes with a nice variety of screw lengths based on stock being used which really keeps the possibility of making a 2nd trip to the hardware store a non-issue. Finally for the price, this is a nice kit. I've made plenty of gates and fences from scratch and after using one of these, I'll never go back to manually building a gate with a handful of simple angle brackets when a hardware kit like this actually gives the final product a nice curb appeal.

I have seen similar products at the hardware store and they were NOWHERE near as complete as this kit. Its not just the 4 corner brackets. It also comes with 2 hinges with built in corner bracket, and a lockable latch. The fastening hardware isn't anything to brag about, but its on par with any other kind of kit I have seen. and is adequate to get the job done. And at the end of the day, this kit is an inexpensive way to make a gate that is going to last a LONG time without any sag or issues. Just remember to brace the fence post that its attached to.
