CalphalonContemporary Hard Anodized Nonstick 16-Inch Roasting Pan with Rack 5 pc. Set

This review is for the roasting pan only. I bought this because it matched our set of pots and pans that I've had for about 3 years now and absolutely love. This pan is no different. Very sturdy, not insanely heavy but not lightweight either. Cleanup is so easy, everything just slides right off as expected.I made gravy on my stovetop in this pan after roasting the turkey and it came out wonderful. I have a ceramic stovetop that has an oblong burner for larger pans and it worked well.The tools are a total bonus because I needed these items anyway. My old baster had seen better days and this one comes with an injecting tip as well. I didn't use the baster at all this Thanksgiving because I used the mayo method (don't knock it til you try it).When buying a new roaster I really wanted to make sure I was buying something that would last, so even though it was a bit pricier than i had anticipated I'm glad I bought it to go with our set. I won't need to buy a roasting pan now for a long time now.I really really like this pan. It's definitely the best one I've ever used and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid new roasting pan.

Did a test run of a young turkey. It came out looking like a magazine cover, and tasted perfect also.Cooked a 21.5 lb. turkey in it for Thanksgiving. You might be able to go a little larger, but it was getting close to the limit concerning length. Everything about it was great, (haven't tried the injector yet). I had a variety of root vegetables and aromatics in the pan, nothing stuck.Clean up was very easy. Looking forward to using it again. If I had to change one thing, it would be the handle design. They curve inward. I'm sure there's a reason for that, but when cooking a very large bird like I did, I could have used the 1-2" inches straight handles would have given me. But that is pure preference, so I can't ding them for that.

Best durable versitile roaster I have ever used in 33 years! Our turkey will fit now and in the non stick pan. The rack is great to keep that oilyfat from duck meat and makes the meat moist and easy to cut..if you cover it with aluminum.Clean up was a breeze...some say they just wipe and rinse the pan, but i prefer to put it into the dishwasher to sanitize it before i hang it on my new pan rack. I am so pleased with Calphalon pans..i have started replacing all my other useless hard to wash pots and pans one or two at a time as long as our budget allows us to in this economy. I also would advise the home cook that they do the same...to purchase Calpalon pot n pans...you will thank me if you do!

Needed a larger pan to cook the Thanksgiving turkey. It was 24lbs. Fit nicely in the pan. Turkey came out great. Cooked evenly. The large handles make it easy to maneuver a large bird from the oven to the counter without a sense that you will lose your grip. Pan cleaned up nice and easy. I was also pleasantly surprised that the rack didn't leave any marks on the bottom of the pan. Four stars because the lifting forks feel very cheap. I was surprised that they didn't bend or break when I removed the turkey. The only reason I went with the package is because I needed the forks and baster. I would suggest purchasing the pan and getting the other things elsewhere.

I bought this as a gift, box was dented on one end so I opened it up to see if pan was damaged. I wasn't , was packed nice with cardboard, has deep sides, wasn't too heavy, nice rack. I bought this over another pan, had bigger handles, you can get your hand in it with hot pads. I might buy one for myself.

A beautiful pan, of course. High quality. We used it immediately for a Christmas Goose (a little long for it but it worked). We were very lucky to find it at this price. I had always wanted one. To me it would be worth the full price. So, really, this is good. Would make a nice wedding gift.

This pan is probably one of the best things I've purchased for my kitchen. It's plenty roomy. I had a 19 lb bird that fit perfectly.I'm a weirdo who doesn't tend to dishwash things like this even if they're safe for it, and I have to say, this pan doesn't need a dishwasher.I cooked my turkey and dumped out the drippings to use... Didn't deglaze the pan, and then got a cold and left it sitting on my counter for almost a week. When I picked it up to clean it, with trepidation, I saw the brown burned bits and worried I'd need to soak it for another night before it would allow me to get them off. But with one cursory, gentle swipe of the rag, they slid off, and all was well.I've NEVER seen a nonstick pan be quite so completely nonsticky.Highly recommended!

this is an excellent Calphalon roasting pan. has a generous interior which is more than adequate to accommodate my 14 pound bird. the rack does move about but should not be problematic with care while in use. I like the sturdy inward handles which makes gripping safety satisfactory when using pot holders. overall enjoyable!

I love this roasting pan!! I bought one for my sister and soon to be hubby for Christmas. I know they will very much enjoy it as well. Excellent product!!

Easy clean up. Love the forks. Would recommend.
