Esschert Design NKH2 30 x 15 x 14cm Ceramic House Martin Nest - Grey

this is almost everything I hoped for, a very sturdy faux nest. The only downside for me was having to put in my own holes in the back to put it up. I don't own a drill which made it a tad difficult. Waiting to see if the house martins move in after the electricians ruined their original nest last year, fingers crossed.

Three of them have been up there for 8 months and no worries. I used an instant grab adhesive and that works too. No Housemartins though yet. I used some Sadolin on the wood to make sure the wood is ok.

Bought one as we had some house martins trying to build their nest on my double glazing, which keep detaching and falling to the ground. Drilled some holes and bolted some cupboard hooks on the reverse of this nest, then hung it on the window in places of the birds' flimsy efforts. After some initial trepidation they love it and have added a couple of inches round the top and entry hole, imagine we'll have some eggs/chicks quite soon. Great item of the price and my house martins seem to love it.

Dimensions of this artificial nest are the same as a natural martin nest and the entrance hole is to one side exactly like a natural nest. No more nests falling to the ground resulting in dead martin chicks......a good product

Well built, quickly and easily delivered. 5 stars because it is a versatile design, well built and easy to install.Happy for any users, martins, swifts etc, but specifically bought hoping sparrows will use under eaves. Only time will tell and will update review if and when inhabited...15 months on, no takers yet in either of the two boxes... Will update if any interest...

One of the ceramic nests was broken on arrival. Managed to glue together. Waiting to see if the House Martins accept their broken home.

It seems OK, but is not on the same wood base as the picture which is misleading. The wood base supplied is the recycled pressed wood similar to interior flooring for sheds.

Be aware-No drill holes so very difficult to install.
