YARDMAX YS0650 6.5 Ton Electric Log Splitter & Estwing E-5 5 Lb Sure Split Wedge, Blue

I have had this splitter for a week and have split about 75 logs so far. works as it should. I love the 1 handed operation! most other small electric splitters the operator must use both hands to operate.

My husband loves this electric splitter. He is 86 and still wanted to get his firewood split. He can work in the cellar where he has good lighting and it's warm and dry. He not only uses it for splitting kindling, it also does well with splitting regular firewood.He put the splitter on 2 cinder blocks to raise it off the floor.He highly recommends this splitter.

Split 3 cords of green fir with this. I mounted it on a locking wheel dolly that elevated it about 12". I split rounds up to 14" in diameter. Any knots went toward the splitting wedge. Could not be happier unless the split wood stacked itself!! High quality product.

The product arrived in a sturdy box and was packed properly. I noticed it leaked a little hydraulic fuel in transit. I put the wheels on and rolled it outside to give it a test run and had more leakage. I checked the tightness of the bolts (6) and they were perfect. The leak was coming from a hairline crack at the top left bolt (pictures attached).I contacted Amazon (They Rock) about 5PM yesterday and they are having it picked up today between 11-8. It was an inconvenience to repack but an easy return otherwise. I ordered a replacement immediately that will be here in 5-6 days.I was so excited when it arrived. I am a little bummed out that my project is put on hold but things happen. Hopefully the replacement will arrive in good condition.

Also...This is One Touch, where you don't have to hold the power AND the activation lever at the same time!You turn on the power, and then it stays on. So you can control the log with one hand and push the lever with the other.It also LOOKS good. Kudos...

This thing is a beast. Mesquite is a pain to cut into firewood with an axe. This took a job that nearly takes me an afternoon (if not more), and turned it into a 30 minute project. Great buy!!

I have no idea if this log splitter works well or not because it arrived broken. Now, as you can see in the pictures, the cast iron piece of the motor that connects it to the frame was completely cracked. I have no idea how this can happen; I would assume it requires a major force to achieve this. The item was also leaking oil. Consequently, the machine was a dysfunctional piece of junk. Very disappointing -- I returned it at no cost (not an easy procedure!) and got a refund.

Cuts wood with ease. Works well.
