When Fall came, I brought in some wood and found a dead praying mantis. My daughter, who is a student, asked to keep it in a jar to carry with her as her "study buddy." Her friends thought it was great, but it had a rough life and was falling apart. This praying mantis does the job with no threat of losing its head in the daily grind of being carried around in a backpack. When she is ready for people to comment or stop and talk, she brings him out to sit patiently and oversee all her work.

I bought this for my bug-loving 7 year old. He was so excited and hasn't put it down yet. It's a great specimen and we are happy with it!

The Mantis is larger than I expected - big cube contains the insect and it's large
