Pretty decent. The yarn is really soft, but frays and splits super easily, so you have to restart a few sections pretty frequently. The instructions are obviously really hard to follow because of the poor translation, and while others said the video helped, the video link directed me to a YouTube playlist that was out of order and very confusing. If I didn't know how to make a granny square pattern, this would have been my downfall, but I was able to make this kind of just eyeballing it. Overall, it came out well, didn't take too long to do, and looks pretty cute! I wish the dark green had more contrast, but I can't complain about how it turned out :) it did come with all of the necessary tools, so that was really nice!

I've been crocheting for 45 years and if it weren't for the video tutorials I would never have been able to do this! There's no way a beginner could do this. Terrible directions in the book!

Instructions are indecipherable. The words were English but the language was not. Would be very frustrating and discouraging for a beginner. Also the yarn is of poor quality, easily splits and separates. I will not be giving this to my granddaughter as I want her to enjoy learning to crochet.

When I purchased this item I believed that when it says: "Crochet Kit" it means that the description of how to make something it will be in crochet terms. Lucky for me I have 30 plus years of making crochet items, because the how to instructions where not complete. Someone who is only somewhat a beginner would not know what to do when the sunflower comes out funny shaped and uneven. Plus some descriptions don't make sense at all, like this one: "Hook a loop of short needles, and hook three short needles at the corner." I had to guess what to do on this row. It should read: "3 sc in corner and in each dc and space across. 3 sc in corner, end off." The tool one uses is a crochet hook not a needle. If I purchase something as a "Crochet Kit" I expect it to have crochet terms. Do not purchase this item unless you have made a sunflower granny square from a different source or you item will not look like the picture.

The instruction are very poor, not written for a beginner and not written in US crochet terms. The yarn is syringy and the hook is tiny. You will need to Google step by step instructions to complete this project and it takes a lot of time searching for the right instructions.
