Great for women too!
I have incredibly sensitive, dry skin that’s prone to bumps and ingrown hairs on my legs. Straight razors destroy my skin. I’ve tried electric razors made for women and they suck. I decided to give this one a go and it works great. It exfoliates and cuts pretty close. If I use a BHA body cream before using it, my legs will come out being almost as smooth as if I used a straight razor (I’ve noticed the smoothness doesn’t last as long though). The shape of the foil razor works really well for the curves and shapes of my legs. I have to recharge the battery every 2-3 times I use it, which isn’t terrible considering it takes longer to shave legs vs a face. Great product, I recommend for anyone with sensitive skin!

Very enjoyable shaver
Been using for about 3 months nowI upgraded from a braun series 1 single foil shaver that I had for years (7+). I was worried about the massive head on this unit causing it to feel bulky. However I personally found the head to feel very comfortable and glides across the face smoothly. Compared to my older single foil, I don't have to worry as much if I miss a day of shaving. This shaver really does get the longer hairs. My older unit was great at getting stubble, but anything to long and you have to finish with a razor to get those, or I have to use a razor entirely. This new shaver fixes all of that, i can miss a day or 2 and this still cleans me up very nicely. Still not great on neck hairs but that's all shavers to me.It doesn't feel to bulky on the face, and the upper foil still gets the upper lip area really well. The self cleaning system works very well to. I was kinda skeptic on if I really cared for it, but worth the extra money.

Great for shaving your head
I have had two or three similar models in the past but they tend to "bite" me when I use them on my face. I bought this one to shave my balding head and the result is as smooth as butter! This Braun Series 6 shaver is so easy to use! Pay close attention to the visual instructions/guide in the package - a) they do not include oil in the package nor do they suggest oiling the shaver in the instructions b) do not brush the foil shaver head (try not to handle the silver foil at all). To clean the shaver, pull the shaver head off (the foil is attached to a plastic top that pops on and off). With the foil facing upward away from your sink/counter top - tap the bottom of the shaver head (the plastic part) against the side of the sink or the top of the counter. Your shaved hairs are now a very fine powdery dust. Don't bang the shaver head too hard or you may damage the plastic shaver head, the foil or your counter. For the best result: a) shave back and forth over your head and around your head for several minutes (5-7 minutes) and b) ensure you start with short hair (less than 1/2 an inch). The more you shave the smoother your head becomes. If your hair is any longer than 1/2 an inch, visit your local barber and then use this to maintain it. Finally, when using any electric shaver - try to never use water or shaving cream. This shaver is rated for both. If you get a significantly better shave with water, or have sensitive skin, I understand. However, any shaver's life is typically cut in half when you use water or cream so be prepared to replace it. This is an amazingly quiet and efficient shaver and stays in your hand. I highly recommend it.

Series 6: nice and light
I’ve been using Braun shavers for 30+ years, and bought this to replace my broken Series 7. After a week with the Series 6, I can recommend it. Best features:1. Very light and compact. While the Series 7 has the built in trimmer for sideburns, you probably don’t use it everyday and it contributes to the shaver being heavy and less easily held. The 6 has a more slender, contoured and grippable design that makes it easier to handle.2. Cleaning is easier. I should mention that I don’t use the cleaning/charging stand and fluid. Too much clutter and hassle when i travel. The 6 has a foil/cutting block that snap off and allow the cuttings to fall out. You can then brush out the top of the shaver body. The 7 could never be cleaned like this — you really need the fluid and stand. It’s too soon to make any predictions, but I suspect the 6 will perform better longer due to relative ease of cleaning.3. Battery life seems good, and the three-LED indicator is accurate and easy to see.4. It’s quieter than the 7. Not silent, but the 7 drowned out conversation or the morning news. Shavers always make noise, but the 6 is less disruptive and annoying. The 7 was quiet compared to a chainsaw.5. Good looking unit. I know, who cares, but given that you’re going to use this every day it’s nice to grab something cool and sturdy.6. Great shave, no irritation. I put this last because obviously the blades are new and it is probably at peak cutting power now. The head flexes well, though, and it cleans up the jawline and neck well.EDIT June 29, 2022: Still recommend this. Battery life is good. I have noticed a decline in how well it shaves, so probably will replace the blades after ~7 months. It's still a close shave, but requires multiple passes on the sideburn area. This about normal, in my experience, with Braun. Given that replacement heads are currently available for $32.00, it's reasonable.
