Good fit. Remember to put silicone seal around gaskets and thermostat.
This aluminum thermohousing left me impressed on its quality. One thing I noticed was that after the first installation was that it was leaking a bit and only because I forgot to put silicone sealant. After the second installation I noticed no leak. This part fit good on my 2009 dodge journey.

So happy this is now available in aluminum! I replaced the OEM Plastic one years ago - it was leaking and cracked, with a plastic aftermarket unit.Well, the thermostat in the replacement failed. The replacement was also starting to leak.I just installed and tested this new unit -- no problems.Looking forward to never having to worry about this part again.TO anyone thinking of doing this themselves -- it is a very easy task -- a few hoseclamps, 3 bolts, and a wire.i did upgrade the thermostats -- I figure the price of this thing is about what two thermostats cost, so the ones in this thing can't be better than the one that just failed, in the old plastic housing.Again -- thank you for offering this in aluminum!!!

quality
first off, I hate plastic, Anytime I can change out the plastic parts for metal parts I will. a lot better quality and value for the money. not having to worry so much about cracking plastic

Exact fit. No leaks.
The old plastic housing got brittle and broke causing leakage. Replaced it with this aluminum one and dropped right in place. And no leaks!!
